22-year-old Tyler Robinson was identified by authorities as the sole suspect in the assassination of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk.
Robinson is the accused assassin who purportedly fatally shot Kirk on Wednesday at a Utah Valley University Turning Point USA event — while speaking with students on the campus.
...
Robinson was taken into custody on September 12th, after Robinson’s father, Matt Robinson, reportedly recognized him in the released surveillance footage and contacted a family friend who informed the sheriff’s office.
...
The governor noted that the family member mentioned a recent gathering prior to the shooting, in which Robinson had mentioned Kirk’s upcoming appearance at Utah Valley University. The conversation revolved around “why they didn’t like [Kirk] and the viewpoints that he had.”
On Thursday night, to his father Matt, Robinson also “implied that he had committed the incident,” leading his father to reach out to a family friend who then informed the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, according to Cox.
...
Patriarch Matt Robinson was also previously reported by a number of outlets to be a “27-year veteran of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department,” but the Sheriff’s Office has since clarified that this is not the case.
“You may be seeing on the news that a young man named Tyler Robinson has been arrested in connection with Charlie Kirk’s death. The suspect, Tyler Robinson, was arrested in Washington County last night and he has been transported to Utah County. The Utah County Attorney’s Office has jurisdiction over the case,” the Washington County Attorney’s Office wrote.
“The individual arrested is NOT related to Washington County law enforcement!” the office added. “There are multiple people with the same names. We thank our local and federal law enforcement officials for their coordination in the investigation and arrest.”

Update: the Robinson family is not associated with Utah Law Enforcement as previously reported!
From one of Tyler’s friends in high school he said that Tyler was left wing on pretty much everything, he was the only one that was to the left, the rest of the family are Republicans, so even in high school Tyler was pretty left wing, but got worse once he went to college and went to those different web sites promoting antifa, etc
he had a good scholarship but dropped out after one semester then went somewhere else
Id like to know where he went
you can easily find it. i cant remember off the top of my head. i think some tech school
Thanks, Sarah!
There was a post on x that said he was in a Democratic socialist group, and had a video, but now it’s gone.

Anyone save the vid?
Thanks, Chick!
I pray for the family of the shooter as well as for Charlie’s family. Neither asked for this.
The reason for the helldivers reference is the three downward arrows. Check all the antifa flags with them.
It was Dixie Tech college .
Cedar City Utah .
That part of South Utah has numerous Dixie references since the location used to raise cotton since it is very warm .
The weather is much nicer there especially St George Ut just south of Cedar City .
Dixie Tech college .
Cedar city utah .
Utah Tech, Formerly Dixie, is in St. George. SUU, Southern Utah University is in Cedar City
Some here told me the mother is a social worker. That figures. Has no clue what her own kid is up to, but tells others how to raise their own kids, and how to live their lives.
Correct.
Thanks for the confirmation.
Just did a search. It was Dixie Technical College in St. George, Utah, enrolled in an electrical apprenticeship program.
A technical college, I doubt he became a far left loon at a technical college, seems from what his friends have said he was pretty left BEFORE he even went to college, the only one in the family who is a leftist, the rest of his family are Republican
