Here’s what we know so far:
The victim: 31-year-old Kirk personified the pugnacious, populist conservatism that has taken over the Republican Party in the age of Trump. He launched his organization, Turning Point USA, in 2012, targeting younger people and venturing onto liberal-leaning college campuses where many GOP activists were nervous to engage.
The shooter: The shooter wore dark clothing and fired from a roof on campus some distance away, Utah authorities say. FBI Director Kash Patel, who earlier in the day posted on social media that a “subject” had been taken into custody, later wrote that the person had been released after being questioned.
The location: Kirk was speaking at a debate hosted by TPUSA. The event at UVU had been met with divided opinions on campus. An online petition calling for university administrators to bar Kirk from appearing received nearly 1,000 signatures. The university issued a statement last week citing First Amendment rights and affirming its “commitment to free speech, intellectual inquiry, and constructive dialogue.”

UVU has a student body of 50,415, of which 31,214 have full time status. AP didn't consider that worth mentioning.
Utah is a very Conservative state.
Investigate everyone of those students who signed the petition. Then kick them out of school. No credits since they learned nothing about searching for truth.

6 cops at the event (some undercover) and none thought to check the roofs and no drones. Plus private security. Have we learned nothing?
I don't think they will find the trigger man no matter how hard they look. He obviously isn't the Bozo the would-be Trump assassins were. If the CIA learned anything, it's that if you want it done right, do it yourself. And, this guy did it right.
