Eleven years after the death of Ferguson, Missouri, teen Michael Brown sparked national protests over police brutality, the man who accompanied Brown on that fateful day in August of 2014 is dead. Dorian Johnson, 33, was shot and killed around 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning in an apartment complex less than a mile from where the incident between himself and Brown, who were black, and then-Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, who is white, played out.
Dorian Johnson you mean the kid that lied until he got in front of the FBI then had to tell the truth about hands up don't shoot? It was all a lie . The media took it hook line and sinker Let's tell the truth herehttps://t.co/Cp2bVcclzE— Accountability Warrior 💪💥💪 (@BeAccountable4u) September 7, 2025
According to the Ferguson Police Department, the investigation is still ongoing, and not many details are known about exactly what happened. Police have confirmed that one person is in custody and are asking anyone with information on the case to contact them. There had been early rumors that the incident was an officer-involved shooting. However, Ferguson PD states that no officers from Ferguson or any other agency were involved.
Dorian Johnson's account of what took place that day in 2014 was sketchy at best. He claimed that he and Brown were walking down the street when Wilson pulled up. After words were exchanged between them, Johnson claimed that Brown was trying to surrender and had his hands up, and Wilson shot him in the back. It sparked the whole "hands up, don't shoot" chant. But in a March 2015 Justice Department report, Johnson's claims were contradicted by other witnesses.
He and criminal Mike Brown are together again. Wonder if the suspect will be let out on no bail?

What Dorian Johnson was doing with his life just before being killed is unclear. However, in 2019, The Washington Post pitched up the mother of softball pieces on Johnson. A real sentence from this piece: "His enduring celebrity is a torment." He tells the tale of people recognizing him and either praising him or hounding him. He said he had trouble keeping jobs, quit one job after he thought he was being followed, and was let go from another after a customer allegedly recognized him and created a scene. As of the writing of the 2019 piece, he was an aspiring rap artist.
There is now a permanent memorial set up along Canfield Drive in Ferguson, where Brown was killed, complete with honorary plaques. But will there be any protests for Dorian Johnson? Any memorials or plaques? Where is Black Lives Matter (BLM), the group that this protest propelled into national prominence? Doesn't Dorian Johnson's life matter? The answer to that is, unless there is money to be made, and Al Sharpton or Ben Crump can swoop in in search of a camera, is obviously no.
Dorian Johnson's tall tale of "hands up, don't shoot" affected a whole lot of lives, namely, St. Louis area black conservative voices, who would not immediately jump on the BLM bandwagon, but wanted to wait for the facts of the case. He affected how black and white people in the entire area communicated and interacted with each other. In some ways, that effect remains. I know - I live right outside of Ferguson.
Sadly, there are a lot of examples of the fact that, when you choose a life where guns and run-ins with the police are the norm, chances are, you are not going to live into old age. The life and death of Dorian Johnson may boil down to just another cautionary tale to that end.
Karma, this is who started the "Hands Up Don't Shoot" lie that led to the Ferguson Riots and the Country Burning. The Beginning of the SCAM
"Black Lives Matter"

Karma is a cold, cruel mistress.
I refrain from espousing my thoughts further, for fear of ending up on more lists than my name already appears on, simply for being a Trump supporter.
I remember the TV women’s panel holding up signs saying Hands Up Don’t Shoot. Repeated that lie again and again and all Dem voters still believe it was true.
From Wikipedia (which has a photo of the disgusting fools in Congress putting up their hands——Hakeem and Al Green among them.
“...many pundits began to refer to the “Hands up, Don’t Shoot” slogan as “a lie” or “based on a lie”. The Washington Post’s Fact Checker feature gave “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” four Pinocchios denoting it as an outright lie.
Despite this, the slogan has an enduring symbolic meaning for activists. As one protester remarked, “Even if you don’t find that it’s true, it’s a valid rallying cry... it’s just a metaphor.”

It certainly affected the lives and families of the 11 cops who were assassinated or killed in riots over “ retaliation” for this lie.
That an officer didn't do isn't mentioned until the reader gets to the last two paragraphs of the article.
