resident Donald Trump warned on Friday that Venezuelan planes will be "shot down" if they put the United States in a "dangerous position."
Why It Matters Trump's warning comes after the Pentagon said two Venezuelan planes flew near a U.S. Navy vessel in international waters amid an expanded U.S. military presence in the southern Caribbean.
The comment comes as Washington and Caracas trade increasingly sharp warnings following a U.S. strike this week on a boat the administration says was tied to the Venezuelan-linked Tren de Aragua gang. The exchange raises questions about the risk of further military escalation in the region and the legal and operational limits of U.S. actions against designated "narco-terrorist" groups.
What To Know
The Pentagon said on Thursday that "two Maduro regime military aircraft flew near a U.S. Navy vessel in international waters," calling the action "highly provocative" and warning Caracas not to interfere with U.S. counter-narcotics and counterterror operations in the region.

I am surprised the administration let them fly close even once.
I am stunned they were not shot down then and there.
That was my first question. Id like to think we had the assets in the area that would see them coming and be able to respond accordingly. But then Im not there and tbh I have zero Navel combat experience. lol
Naval not navel.

These have the hidden upgrade of the hamsters on amphetamines on treadmills that replaced the thick rubber bands of the old models.
The F16’s were late 80’s vintage. They probably were locked all the way in. I don’t think Maduro would risk Trump’s wrath over one cocaine boat. If they’ed fired on the ship, Venezuela’s oil field would have been arc lighted.
Trump wants to get us in a war with Venezuela so he can use that wartime act
to deport all Venezuelans /s
Somebody needs to bump the Phalanx ON switch whenever Jose comes buzzing over in his adobe F-16s.
For the second time in two days, Venezuela flew military aircraft over the USS Jason Dunham in international waters, multiple officials confirmed to CBS News.
Most of us have navel experience pretty much from the time of birth ;)
