UK online speech laws 'not a good thing', says Trump

US President Donald Trump has criticised the UK's laws around online speech, saying "strange things are happening" there and that it was "not a good thing".

The remarks were in response to a reporter's question during a White House dinner hosting prominent tech leaders.

No free speech in Englandistan. Muslims can threaten people on the street, but by God don't criticize it or you'll be arrested.

Unfortunately I have noticed that the biggest defenders of censorship in the UK are Brits. They seem to be fine with it. They will all line up to get their prayer rugs and “Quik Clit Clip Kits” for their daughters on command.

Indeed a lot of the Brits take no issue with banning “hate speech,” just I imagine many of our American leftists would be just fine with abolishing the 1st Amendment... remember how anxious they were to censor and punish anyone who deviated from the official narrative on Covid?

Similarly, a lot of the Germans have no quarrel with censoring or even imprisoning politicians whom they don’t like (i.e., AfD).

Let’s face... the USA is fast becoming the last remnant for freedom in the world. And the great irony is that Trump is pilloried as some sort of authoritarian when he’s the exact opposite of that.

Yet he is perfectly fine with paying Planatir taxpayer’s dollars to spy and collect data on every citizen and taxpayer in the nation without warrants... The Constitution is not selective.
