Meghan McCain, the conservative commentator and daughter of late Senator John McCain, faced immediate backlash after mocking Greta Thunberg's appearance, comparing the Swedish climate activist to Shrek villain Lord Farquaad in a post critics slammed as hypocritical.
Newsweek contacted Thunberg by email for comment on Monday via the Fridays for Future project.

Observers noted the irony of the former The View co-host's post, referencing McCain's own struggles with public comments about her style and hairstyles and her past defenses of experimenting with her look, calling for greater empathy and consistency.
Others cautioned that attacking appearances rather than engaging with ideas reflects poor judgment and steers the conversation away from meaningful discussion.
McCain, a former political commentator for Fox News, posted on X while responding to a video of 22-year-old Thunberg speaking in support of Palestinians, writing: "I refuse to take anyone talking about politics seriously with uneven bangs and this s***** Lord Farquaad hair," as per entertainment site Page Six. “Why It Matters”
It doesn’t.

Backlash from who?
With so much to criticize Greta’s ideology about, McCain chooses to dis her hairstyle?
She’s a brain damaged Swedish Maoist whore who somehow learned English.
Mc Cain likes her ideology.

girl stuff ...
It’s not just the haircut, it’s also that she looks like she’s “transitioning”.
Fewer and fewer people really give a damn about McCain or Thurnberg.
I was thinking Howard Beale. Or maybe even Howard the Duck.
More like being noodle whipped.
It’s called Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.
Greta who?
Nonentity deserves less than 30 seconds of my time.
Greta has far outstayed her 15 minutes of fame. The reality is almost no one cares what she says, or does anymore.
