It looks like another Democrat darling has tripped over his own carefully crafted narrative.
Maryland Gov. Wes Moore (D) just had a public meltdown when confronted about a glaring and long-running falsehood: his claim to having received a Bronze Star. For years, Moore casually let the military honor bolster his public image, political resume, and book sales — but now, under scrutiny, he’s suddenly claiming it "wasn't something I even thought about.” That’s a hard pill to swallow, considering the Bronze Star is not just some casual decoration. It’s one of the U.S. military’s most prestigious awards, given for heroic achievement in combat zones.

What he meant to say he "earned" was the CMOH with oak leaf cluster. Yeah, that's the ticket! Or as Steve Martin used to say....."I forot!"

Stolen valor does not mean anything to the Dems/Left, but it means a great deal to most other people.

He probably never even earned a gold star for ace-ing a spelling test.

Maybe he threw his spelling gold star over the white house fence with John Kerry, who served in Vietnam.

Interesting that this should come out just as demonicRATS are sorting out their ‘28 Presidential nominee. I suspect Gov. Gavin “Hand Job” Newsom is behind this.

It’s one of the U.S. military’s most prestigious awards, given for heroic achievement in combat zones.
In 2002 was on an awards review board for actions in Afghanistan. There were no Meritorious Service Medals (MSM) awarded, instead it was replaced by the Bronze Star. So unless there's a "V" on the Bronze Star it's basically just an MSM.
That said, as I reviewed the Bronze Star award for a SEAL that performed recons behind the lines there was no "V". I asked why not as IMHO it takes valor to do those missions. I was told that he never came under fire so he didn't rate.

So this phony Wes guy was on Will Cain the other day. He has been saying for years he got the Bronze Star. He actually got it two years ago which was probably done by Bidens people to help him with the lie. Then he said he “earned” it years ago but just got it recently. No big deal. He just IDENTIFIES as a recipient of the award.

If I’m not mistaken, only if it leads to fraud. For example, just falsely claiming to have a medal is free speech (so the courts say).
But using that claim to get a discount at a store… that’s fraud and a federal crime.
