After his first arrest for sex crimes, Jeffrey Epstein tried to get into a new line of work: surveillance. In 2015, he partnered with former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak to invest in a security tech startup called Reporty Homeland Security, now known as Carbyne. Leaked emails show that Epstein was using Barak to seek out opportunities in the surveillance industry and build connections with powerful figures around the globe, including American businessman Peter Thiel, the former director of Israeli signals intelligence, and two people in Russian President Vladimir Putin's circle.
After he was first caught sexually exploiting teenage girls, Epstein had pleaded guilty to soliciting prostitution in 2008; he served a little over a year in detention. Meanwhile, he invested his wealth in bizarre projects, including a ranch to breed women with his DNA and "efforts to identify a mysterious particle that might trigger the feeling that someone is watching you," according to The New York Times.
The leaked emails show that Epstein was also interested in more mundane means of spying on and manipulating people, which overlapped with the technologies governments often pursue. This interest crossed borders.

Assuming he's actually dead
The body they wheeled out had a different nose and ears than what Epstein had.
I was strongly suggesting he was hooked up with U.S. AND Israeli Intelligence, but some here tried to shout me down.
All that money didn’t come from just one source. I suspect Israel was collecting dirt for political leverage so as not to be left adrift like they were post WWII.
Good plan and apparently wise, considering how the Islamists have funneled oil profits into influencing politicians, colleges, their student bodies and influential media personalities.
The media and our government seems incurious about his financial empire and who supported his business dealings and why.
Follow the money and you will find out who and what he was and why.

This was a head turner. While we are all looking at underage sex with teen girls, this was a massive financial scandal.
I think THIS is what the coverup is about. When is the last time DC cares about sex?

Want his financial dealings... look at this. Mind blowing.
excellent info. would be good if people showed some interest in it! lol.
Yeah... first I’d heard THAT stuff. Now the coverup makes sense.
That Epstein was an “Israeli intelligence asset,” posing as a
sex trafficker, appears to stem from the following connections:
Robert Maxwell: Ghislaine Maxwell’s father, the late media mogul Robert Maxwell, is widely reported to have had ties to Israeli intelligence. His connection to Mossad was a factor in fueling suspicion about his daughter’s connections, and by extension, Epstein’s. Maxwell’s funeral was attended by present and former Mossad bigwigs, and a parade of high mucky muck Israeli officials. Robert Maxwell is buried on Israel’s most sacred ground-—the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. His body was found in the Atlantic Ocean in 1991, believed to have “fallen” off his yacht, after which he was given a lavish funeral by Israel.
Israeli Ehud Barak: Epstein had a close relationship with former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, who was photographed visiting Epstein’s Manhattan residence. While Barak was accused of taking money from Epstein’s foundation, he has denied any involvement in wrongdoing.
In 2020, a former Israeli intelligence officer, Ari Ben-Menashe, claimed to have seen Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell working for Mossad decades earlier. An all-out effort was made to discredit Ben-Menashe, saying has a “controversial history” and has previously made “unverifiable claims.”
What is known about Epstein’s activities. Investigations have documented that Epstein sought to compile compromising information on powerful people for his own personal gain, and perhaps paid handsomely to collect dirt for Israel to use as political leverage, to reinforce Israel’s global footprint. This pattern of blackmail and coercion is generally seen as being consistent with criminal activities.
When Jeffrey Epstein died in 2019, his estate was valued at $577 million, including a portfolio of luxury real estate and over $380 million in cash and investments. Since then, however, legal payouts and sales have significantly reduced its value to an estimated $131–$200 million.
Filings from 2019 valued Epstein’s estate at $577 million, which he transferred into a private entity called “The 1953 Trust” two days before his death. His fortune included significant real estate holdings:
A $50 million townhouse in Manhattan.
A $12 million mansion in Palm Beach, Florida.
A $17 million ranch in New Mexico.
A $8.6 million apartment in Paris.
Two private Caribbean islands, Little St. James and Great St. James, valued at $86 million.
Approximately $380 million in cash, equities, and hedge funds.
Status of the estate since 2019
Payouts and sales: Since 2019, the estate has paid out over $160 million to victims through a compensation program, plus an additional $105 million to settle a lawsuit with the U.S. Virgin Islands. His properties were sold for a total of about $160 million. Despite these payouts, the estate’s value has been bolstered by a key venture capital investment in Peter Thiel’s Valar Ventures. Originally a $40 million stake, its value has increased to as much as $200 million.
In 2025, filings showed the estate’s total assets at about $131 million, including about $50 million in cash. However, these filings list some investments at their 2019 value, understating the total. Recent estimates place the estate’s current value between $150 and $200 million.
Epstein’s trust was created to keep the names of beneficiaries private. While the specific individuals are not publicly known, it is believed they may include his former girlfriend Karyna Shuliak, and his two longtime associates and estate executors, Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn. Between his collection of lavish homes, two private Caribbean Islands and nearly $380 million dollars in cash and investments, he was worth $578 million dollars. He generated more than $800 million in revenue between 1999 and 2018 which was sort of the most prolific part of his you know of his activities.

Jeffrey Epstein was a wealthy financier known for his connections with numerous high-profile individuals, including politicians, celebrities, and businessmen ...
Jeffrey Epstein served as Les Wexner’s personal financial advisor for over two decades, gaining almost limitless power over the billionaire’s finances. Wexner, the CEO of Victoria’s Secret parent company L Brands, became Epstein’s primary client and financial benefactor, a relationship that also gave Epstein access to Wexner’s network of homes and companies.
In 1991, Les Wexner formed with billionaire Charles Bronfman the Study Group, more widely known as the Mega Group, a club of the country’s wealthiest and most influential businessmen who were concerned with Jewish issues. Max Fischer, Michael Steinhardt, Leonard Abramson, Edgar Bronfman, and Laurence Tisch were some of the members. The group would meet twice a year for two days of seminars related to the topic of Judaism. The group, which Wexner co-chaired with Charles Bronfman, went on to install a number of philanthropic initiatives such as the Partnership for Excellence in Jewish Education, Birthright Israel, and the upgrading of national Hillel.
.
Jeffrey Epstein engaged in security tech by investing his vast fortune in, and building connections with, surveillance and security-related companies, particularly after his 2008 conviction. Leaked emails from former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak revealed Epstein’s efforts to get involved in the surveillance industry and his connections with powerful figures in tech and intelligence.
Epstein’s Security and surveillance investments
Carbyne (formerly Reporty): In 2015, Epstein partnered with Ehud Barak to invest in Reporty, a startup that aimed to overhaul 911 emergency dispatch technology. Epstein actively used Barak to build connections in the surveillance industry to seek new opportunities. The investment was structured to conceal Epstein’s involvement.
Epstein used his connections to arrange meetings between Ehud Barak and Peter Thiel, the co-founder of the surveillance contractor Palantir. Epstein later invested $40 million into Valar Ventures, a venture capital firm co-founded by Thiel, and reportedly pitched Carbyne to the fund in 2016.
Fifth Dimension: In 2015, Barak consulted Epstein about an intelligence company called Fifth Dimension, which was backed by a Russian businessman allied with Vladimir Putin. The company’s pitch included using AI to transform data into intelligence, along with maps tracking individuals.
Levitection: In 2016, Barak also asked Epstein to invest in Levitection, an electromagnetic imaging startup whose staff were veterans of an Israeli weapons company. The company later won a contract with the US Department of Homeland Security.
Pursuit of a “military-like” tech perspective
Leaked emails show Epstein was highly interested in security-related technology and surveillance. In one email, he wrote that he was “AMAZED by the rate of which technology has moved into the private sector” and that many companies were “looking for a new military like perspective on mgmt”. This reflected his interest in positioning himself at the intersection of private money and public surveillance.
Broader tech and science connections: Beyond security, Epstein also cultivated relationships with many prominent figures in the broader tech and science worlds, funding research and attending exclusive gatherings. He had deep connections to the MIT Media Lab, where he funded research and leveraged his connections to solicit donations from others, including Bill Gates. Some of Epstein’s ventures were tied to transhumanism and genetic engineering, including an ambition to “seed the human race with his DNA”.
Toning down Jeffrey Epstein’s connection to Israel, his financial ties to former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and his association with disgraced socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, whose father had alleged ties to the Mossad.
These connections have fueled persistent theories claiming Epstein, posing as a sex trafficker, ran a blackmail operation for Israeli intelligence.
Connection to Ehud Barak: Epstein had a financial and personal relationship with Ehud Barak, who served as Israel’s Prime Minister and Defense Minister.
In 2015, the newspaper Haaretz reported that Epstein invested in an Israeli startup, Reporty Homeland Security (later renamed Carbyne), which was connected to Israel’s defense industry. Barak headed the company at the time.
A company controlled by Epstein donated to Barak’s political activities. In 2019, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu highlighted Barak’s connection to Epstein and a payment of $2.3 million to the Wexner Foundation for a research program.
Barak Visits Epstein’s home: Barak was photographed entering Epstein’s Manhattan residence in 2016. In recently leaked emails from 2025, hacked from Barak’s inbox, there are reported discussions between him and Epstein, including about a trip to Epstein’s private island.
Connection to Ghislaine Maxwell; Her father’s alleged Mossad links: Ghislaine Maxwell’s father, the late media tycoon Robert Maxwell, was widely rumored to have ties to the Mossad. Following his death, he was given what was described as a state-like funeral in Israel, with prominent Israeli leaders and intelligence figures in attendance.
These alleged ties, combined with Maxwell’s central role in Epstein’s trafficking ring, have been a key driver for conspiracy theories claiming the operation was an intelligence-gathering effort.
Denial of Mossad ties: In transcripts released in August 2025, Maxwell denied to U.S. officials that she believed Epstein was a paid Israeli intelligence agent.
The “Mossad honeypot” claim: Widespread conspiracy theories, particularly in fringe and far-right circles, assert that Epstein was a Mossad agent who entrapped powerful elites through a “honeypot” blackmail scheme.
In July 2025, former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett explicitly stated on X that Epstein “never worked for the Mossad”.......a patently unbelievable statement.
Mainstream journalists, including Miami Herald investigative reporter Julie K. Brown, have acknowledged the possibility of Epstein’s intelligence connections, particularly given his relationship with Robert Maxwell. However, they have not confirmed the theories.
Context within Israeli politics
In 2019, Epstein’s ties became a point of contention within Israeli politics during an election campaign. Benjamin Netanyahu’s son Yair and others amplified concerns about Ehud Barak’s relationship with Epstein to damage Barak’s reputation.
The topic has also been highlighted in U.S. political discourse. For instance, in July 2025, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson reignited speculation about Epstein’s potential connection to Israeli intelligence at a conservative conference.
