Mr. Moran, 44, is the pasha of a new power tribe in the capital: the gay men of the Trump administration.
These are the A-Gays. They’re (mostly) out, they’re proud (to work for President Trump) and they have big jobs inside (or alongside) this administration. They wield influence all over town, from the Pentagon to the State Department to the White House to the Kennedy Center.
“We’re like Visa,” Mr. Moran said. “Everywhere you want to be.”
He sipped a dirty vodka martini and surveyed the room. Two Republican men waved at him from across the club. “Both gay,” he explained. This was also true of the middle-aged Trump appointee who ambled over a moment later to catch up. But apparently not so of the young-looking White House aide who approached a few minutes after that. “Straight as an arrow,” Mr. Moran said as the aide walked away.

It's in the style section. In recent decades, that has been the gay section.
Their worst slur is to say you are one of them.
What a nasty hitjob. Disgusting.
Yesterday’s News — Republicans are bad because they oppose criminals.
Today’s News — Republicans are also bad because some of them are gay.
I don’t think the Democrats know how this game is played.
Not a hit piece....they just gotta show their pride. But instead of pride over accomplishment to God, it is over where the penis is stuffed. Not that a high percentage of straight ones are also immoral.
Jesus made them in His image, not lucifers, and in Him they will not have wasted their lives on mere politics, fame, power. Otherwise: wasted. We all learn this eventually.
NYT just trying to drive division into the Republican momentum. That’s all this is about.
They’re trying to divide the different groups that elected Trump, but more importantly MAGA, because that is what they view as the threat.
Trump should make hay of this: “Why are the media and Democrats mocking gays? I thought they were on the gays side? I guess not anymore. But you know, we have gays, lots of gays, some might say the best gays...”
😂😂😂😂
I don’t understand this at all.
Most Republicans are not anti-gay, they are anti-demented transgender. We are for personal freedom. What a person does in their own bedroom is no one’s business.
In fact, I think Pennsylvania (?) was won in 2024 by a gay person that garnered the Amish vote.
So how is saying that Trump has gay supporters or gay people working for him a bad thing?
Why’s it a hit job?
I thought the left preaches gay is good?
President Trump was right...if he found a cure for cancer libs would find a problem with it.
because it’s below the belt
WINNING!
Hahahaha
NYT is prejudiced against MAGA. They want to destroy MAGA. During the 2020 election, many “progressives” were motivated to vote Dem to make MAGA pay for DJT 2016. They used Jan6 to punish and set the example.
Conservatives don’t care -generally speaking- about what a person does in his own private sex life
NYT will not get that. NYT writers and readers are ideological. They do care about others’ private lives and about how they think. It’s hitlerian actually
Conservative is just a way of life. They don’t have a need to change others
The Times is baffled by this. They’re going at this silly talking point from this angle. No one cares.

Thing is, we are generally merit based as conservatives. We may not at all agree with a homosexual lifestyle, but if that is someone’s personal life, we can deal directly with them as an individual person, not as someone who is part of a group.
We can work with them, and if they are part of a social circle or we are related to them, we can treat them as individual persons, not as part of the “homosexual” group.
I know some people cannot do that, but I think most can.
It is what they do on their side, putting people into groups and treating with them in that fashion, not as individuals.
Now, if someone is trying to make their personal life public, advocating for “Gay Pride” in a company or at a governmental level, making it a crime to disagree with homosexuality, that line stops for many of us there. It is no longer their personal life, and we aren’t going to ignore it.
I do find it telling that those on the Left are the biggest “gay baiters” that exist.
You beat me to it. Good post.
