Eight states with complete Republican disenfranchisement
American Thinker ^ | August 21, 2025 | M. Walter

In case anyone had any doubt where this gerrymandering fight is going:

And here’s California Democrat Rep. Zoe Lofgren with absolutely no shame, confirming that wholesale Republican voter disenfranchisement is exactly where the party is going:

Just put aside the Texas Republicans for a moment, even though their cause is righteous.

Put them aside, because even though they are the reason California’s Ms. Lofgren and her fellow travelers are up in arms, we don’t need them to make the point that the gerrymandering is already insanely lopsided!

Eight blue states have zero Republican representation. Zero. That’s fully 16% of our 50 states with no Republican voice on the House side of the Hill.  Sixteen percent. When you think about what our great patriots, our forefathers fought for: the blood, the sacrifice, for the all-consuming cause of freedom, this is an obscenity. An affront to Liberty.

Here’s each one of the afflicted states listed in order of the percentage of disenfranchised Republicans, along with the total number of disenfranchised Republican voters:

NM: 32.24% of the state (408,256)

NH: 32.04% of the state (352,140)

CT: 20.88% of the state (501,336)

DE: 25.65% of the state (195,425)

VT: 20.00% of the state (95,430)

RI: 14.45% of the state (108, 344)

HI: 13.64% of the state (109,821)

MA: 08.37% of the state (423,387)

How is this in any way “saving democracy”?

Taxation without representation” launched this country. At least eight states may find themselves ready to hoist boxes into Boston Harbor if this gets much worse — and the “no-Kings” Democrats are once again, threatening to do exactly that: make it much worse.

If they weren’t trying to hurt our great experiment in individual liberty, I swear Democrats would have nothing...

Although I agree with what you’re saying, especially 40% and no representation, how many are just the opposite. I know my state has no democrats in Washington and around 33% of the state are dems.

The 119th Congress has 12 all-Republican state delegations (Alaska, Arkansas, Idaho, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, West Virginia, Wyoming) with seven states represented only by Democrats (Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Rhode Island).

How many states have no Democratic representatives?

Well, Delaware has only one Representative so one party or the other will be unrepresented. South Dakota has one Representative, a Republican. Is that unfair to Democrats? Rhode Island has two Democrats—in that case it may be because the Census Bureau fiddled with the numbers to give Rhode Island an extra seat in the House of Representatives.

Those are states in need of “Reconstruction”.

Whoever wrote that needs to do a bit more research...Arkansas, Idaho, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Utah, and West Virginia have all Republican House members.

Gerrymandering is there to provide cover for voter fraud.

If enough Dem voters still voted for Deep State, then Deep State wouldn’t have to steal elections.

Including elections in the supposedly blue bits.

The Democrat Party exists for absolute power. Nothing less will satisfy it.

California has so fixed their election system that they have had Senate races where the two top democrats ran against each other with the republican shut out of the race.

That is called Ranked Choice Voting.

Many races are like that there.

So...have every candidate, including right of center candidates, just all run as “Democrats” - would be funny if people just vote for a “Democrat” and you get the top two vote getter both be conservative / right of center candidates.

There is no party primary, so being at the whim of the “Dem base” would not apply as a threat to them voting however they wish. If California does pass this redistricting scheme, then having our candidates run this like in the new districts should be our counter scheme.

No, not there in California - it is just a straight-up jungle primary entirely. No ranked choice. The top two vote getters regardless of party move on to the general election.

Taxation WITHOUT Representation!

This is one of the BEST arguments I know to ask ‘We The People’ to PAY ATTENTION to what their TAX DOLLARS are ‘doing’ for and TO them - and to STOP paying a single DIME more than what is currently legally demanded of them! A ‘tax refund’ is NOT your friend!

Inflation is THEFT!

Taxation is THEFT!

How many seats are we actually talking about? Percentages do not give the true numbers. If the state only has 2 seats then it’s easy to see why only 1 party is represented.

Most voters in Connecticut are Independents. I wonder how many Independents are America First?

That dumbass Marc Veasey must not realize that democrats have been redistricting republicans out of seats for many years. I would be fine if every state redistricts. The evil dems would lose a lot of seats if that happens.

The methodology is deeply flawed . The disenfranchised percentage and number is solely predicated on the number of registered Republicans and does not take into account those who are registered as independent or unaffiliated.

For example, in the article, it states that 8.37% (percent of registered Republicans)of the voters are disenfranchised in Massachusetts. A better metric would be the percentage of Massachusetts voters who voted for Trump in the last presidential election which is 36%.

“A better metric would be the percentage of Massachusetts voters who voted for Trump in the last presidential election which is 36%.”

Add another 10-15% for fraud and the numbers are closer to accurate.
