For years, Washington, D.C.’s so-called leaders resigned themselves to the idea that crime was inevitable. Then came President Donald Trump, who saw a problem and took the novel approach of actually doing something about it — sending in the National Guard to restore order in the capital.
The result? For the first time in ages, D.C. has gone seven straight days without a single homicide.
According to Fox45, the capital has also seen carjackings decrease by 83%, “robberies by 46%, car thefts by 21%, and overall violent crime is down 22%.”
Sgt. Betsy Smith of the National Police Association said Washington, D.C.’s police department is suffering critical staffing shortages, which is an issue since “More police generally equals less crime.”
Of course that simple truth runs counter to everything the left has preached for years. They’ve championed defunding the police, smeared law enforcement as systemically racist, and sneered at Trump’s efforts to make Washington not just safe, but livable again. In fact, they’ve told us for days now that Trump’s efforts actually make D.C. unsafe.
The Center for American Progress (CAP) wrote that “these deployments … fail to address the district’s real public safety priorities.” CAP argued that the deployment of the National Guard “will threaten public safety in the nation’s capital.”
D.C. Attorney General Brian Schwalb said the deployment “undermines public safety” while one D.C. resident, Mara Lasko, told CNN that she doesn’t think the National Guard makes people feel safer.
“I don’t think they’re actually doing anything productive to make our city a safer place,” Lasko said.
Of course the data disproves their opinions.
But their outrage was never really about the National Guard — or police in general — making the streets safer. Nobody actually...

The criminal ringleaders in DC are obviously extremely upset. Hopefully the fences are caught soon enough.
Dems = crime being down is bad
I think this an accurate assessment. The sowing of chaos is one of the methods of and avenue to control of a populace. The Democrats want to RULE, not govern. It has been their path to riches for themselves, and chaos for their constituents. California, Illinois and New York State illustrate the point.

Mayor Bowser had to admit crime was down, but said DC could have done that by themselves if they had 500 more cops.
She failed to talk about how no cops want to work there, the restrictions placed on cops, the lenient juvenile crime laws, the lack of prosecution by the city DA, and the defund the cops movement, all which happened on her watch.

I have always said the Democrats are stupid or evil, or both. Neither is good.
When you don’t allow the police to protect citizens, don’t punish criminals and don’t allow citizens to protect themslves or their property, you are, in fact, laying the foundations to created a police state.
That is exactly what the soros-demonrats want.

Crime down = Democrat’s core constituency being arrested or forced into hiding. Can’t have that.

A lot of democrats in ICU units now meetings called to change it.
My theory, Democrat politicians, mayors, DAs, and judges in these cities are getting PAID OFF by cartels (aka terrorist occupying invaders) to not enforce the law, the resulting chaos benefits the agendas of the drug and human trafficking cartels as well as the Dem politicians, giving them a nice little padding for their election stashes and also the chaos that commie revolutionaries always always want and benefit from.
Steve Turley had a great podcast on all this a few days ago. Warning, he loves the words “Bombshell! Absolutely incredible!, Shocking!” ... a lot, haha but in this case they actually were not overblown when you hear the statistics.
There is no real logical reason for letting the cities be destroyed, aside from a purposeful agenda to do so. The DOJ should look into them and follow the money. Some Republicans that live in those cities should start some type of lawsuits to get some investigations rolling.

Try to square that comment with Democrats push to “defund the police”.
Was referring to Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society, where he fostered the idea of giving the serfs just enough to keep them on the plantation forever. It worked.
And dem voters prove they don't care by reelecting the same saboteurs.
