The Democratic Party Faces a Voter Registration Crisis

The Democratic Party is hemorrhaging voters long before they even go to the polls.

Of the 30 states that track voter registration by political party, Democrats lost ground to Republicans in every single one between the 2020 and 2024 elections — and often by a lot.

That four-year swing toward the Republicans adds up to 4.5 million voters, a deep political hole that could take years for Democrats to climb out from.

Change in share of registered voters, 2020-24

The stampede away from the Democratic Party is occurring in battleground states, the bluest states and the reddest states, too, according to a new analysis of voter registration data by The New York Times. The analysis used voter registration data compiled by L2, a nonpartisan data firm.

Few measurements reflect the luster of a political party’s brand more clearly than the choice by voters to identify with it — whether they register on a clipboard in a supermarket parking lot, at the Department of Motor Vehicles or in the comfort of their own home. And fewer and fewer Americans are choosing to be Democrats.

In fact, for the first time since 2018, more new voters nationwide chose to be Republicans than Democrats last year.

All told, Democrats lost about 2.1 million registered voters between the 2020 and 2024 elections in the 30 states, along with Washington, D.C., that allow people to register with a political party. (In the remaining 20 states, voters do not register with a political party.) Republicans gained 2.4 million.

There are still more Democrats registered nationwide than Republicans, partly because of big blue states like California allow people to register by party, while red states like Texas do not. But the trajectory is troublesome for Democrats, and there are growing tensions over what to do...

Their manufacturing plants are still intact though.

The Department of Education is still not abolished and no bill is being fast tracked.

They still have our children. They can build new voters as needed.

The results of 50 years of aborting future voters and standing idly by while their most loyal voters kill each other is finally rearing its head.

Surprising that it's taken this long.

Just goes to show how dependent on gerrymandering, vote fraud and wobbly-knee'd Republicans demonicRATS are.

Trump has pulled off the political appropriation veneer from the communists, and the great “unwashed masses” are now seeing em for what they really are. It’s no wonder they tried to knock him off a couple of times.
The communists took political appropriation of the old, dead democratic party and wrapped themselves in that “democrat” label while underneath is nothing but radical, violent communists hellbent on the destruction of the USA as we know it.
People are now beginning to see em for what they really are and running away from em as fast as possible.

Interesting that they are hemorrhaging voters at the same time that millions of illegal aliens are being deported, and mail-in ballot fraud is being scrutinized.

And getting rid of USAID has had a huge impact on the lack of walking-around money given to black activist.

This is just the beginning. More pain is going to be inflicted on the rats, much more. /spit

Not surprising. Remember the DNC recently fired that chubby gender-confused gal whose job was to lure young men back to the Democrat Party. It was never disclosed how she’d spent the multi-million dollar budget they gave her.

Democrats just imported 14 million future voters with help from Biden & Myorkass.

Dems have had that crisis longer than they realize thanks to open primaries. Assuming they own you just because you vote in their primaries. That’s how they communicate with me. Bunch of egotistic dimwits.

The Democratic Party Faces a Voter Registration Crisis

Post-17th Amendment ratification elite Democrats have been staying in power by abusing the 16th Amendment (direct taxes) to support the murder of unborn Democrats for decades, unthinkingly guaranteeing their party's downfall imo.

That being said, Trump's red tsunami of supporters, evidenced by his record-breaking win in 2024 elections, need to permanently preserve his legacy by making the repeal of 16A the main talking point of 2026 elections. Trump supporters need to primary all candidates for state and federal public offices who refuse to publicly promise to support a resolution to the states in January 2027 for a new amendment to the Constitution that repeals that amendment.

The Sixteenth Amendment is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for organized crime front-ended by deep state Congress.

Consider that a resolution to repeal 16A was introduced as recently as 2021, but was unsurprisingly ignored.

The 17th Amendment, popular voting for federal senators, needs to disappear too.

Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors, shall all become wolves [emphasis added]. It seems to be the law of our general nature.Thomas Jefferson (Letter to Edward Carrington January 16, 1787)

And fewer and fewer Americans are choosing to be Democrats.

So that means more Americans are choosing to be Americans.

That four-year swing toward the Republicans adds up to 4.5 million voters, a deep political hole that could take years for Democrats to climb out from.

Let's continue said swing so the hole is even bigger for them and they *can't* dig out of it.

They did in this Virginia and Georgia - worked hard for decades to flip them. Virginia they did, and Georgia is now on the margins. Texas they've also been working on...but they backslid in recent years with most of the new people moving into Texas being Republicans and reversing the trend, and with the Latinos trending more Republican.

Any solid red state can flip blue with time and effort, and any blue state can do the same. Even if there is one failure after another, if you keep working at it, it can be done. For a long time, only the Democrats were doing this - while the inept GOP thought the problem was "lack of outreach". Now our side is also finally on the act of identifying and registering their voters.

That’s because President Trump is shutting down their illegalities, something the demoncRATS practiced for decades.

No need. Republicans have a difficult time voting when trumps not on the ballot. It’s been proven many times over.
