Comedian Kathy Griffin revealed that she has downloaded the dating app Hinge in order to find herself a date, adding, “I have a lot of fear about men, the entire gender.”
Griffin shared in a Monday Substack post that what “started out as a joke” between herself, singer Sia, and actress Nia Vardalos turned into her downloading the Hinge dating app and creating a profile.

There is a tendency in recent years to be gender neutral in describing people. So instead of calling her a comedienne, they call her a comedian. Both men and women are so described if they are in the business of eliciting laughs from people.
There’s been a tendency in recent years to not use the term actress. I’ve lost count of the number of articles I’ve seen where a woman is described as an actor.
