The preliminary injunction affects 20 states that sued to stop the sharing of Medicaid enrollees' personal information with immigration officials
A federal judge ordered the Department of Health and Human Services to stop providing access to Medicaid enrollees' personal data, including their home addresses, to immigration officials.
District Judge Vince Chhabria, an Obama appointee, granted a preliminary injunction blocking the Department of Homeland Security from using Medicaid data obtained from 20 states that filed a lawsuit to stop the data sharing.
The order, handed down Tuesday, blocks HHS from sharing data on Medicaid enrollees in these states with Immigration and Customs Enforcement for the purpose of targeting migrants for deportation.
"Using CMS data for immigration enforcement threatens to significantly disrupt the operation of Medicaid—a program that Congress has deemed critical for the provision of health coverage to the nation’s most vulnerable residents," Chhabria wrote.

So who filed the legal complaint? Or do federal judges just fret over everything and issue injunctions on those things they dont care for or that harm their personal interests?
Why do not the Republicans in Congress just pass a law authorizing this?

Defrauding Medicaid/U. S. taxpayers is unlawful unless you are an illegal alien.
HHS should be required to share the information with DOJ as this is potentially criminal fraud.
DHS can then obtain the information from the DOJ and this judge can stick it.
We can assume the headline left out the word illegal. As in Illegal immigrants

California is leading a coalition with 19 other states in a lawsuit against the Trump administration for transferring Medicaid data to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which houses U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Democrat Attorney General Rob Bonta said the federal lawsuit filed Tuesday in the Northern District of California represents the 28th time in 23 weeks – or more than once a week – that California is challenging the president in court.
Elections have consequences and policy changes are the result. This judge however has no role to play in policy development or implementation.
Well, then RFKJ can just put it on the internet and ICE can find it there. Because leaking information is pretty much like jaywalking, according to dems.
