How a Call From Trump Ignited a Frantic Week of Diplomacy by Ukraine

Once a vague proposal for a territorial swap gained clarity, a worried President Volodymyr Zelensky worked to rally allies before Friday’s Trump-Putin summit.

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine was returning from the front line last week when he joined a pivotal call with President Trump.

Hours earlier, Mr. Zelensky had visited soldiers defending Ukraine’s northeastern Sumy region against Russian ground assaults. Now, stopping in the small city of Romny, he listened on a secure line with other European leaders as Mr. Trump outlined Russia’s proposal to end the war.

Moscow, Mr. Trump told them, was ready to halt hostilities under a deal involving a territorial exchange between Russia and Ukraine, according to a Kyiv-based European diplomat and a top Ukrainian official who were briefed on the call and spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive information. Seeing a chance to broker peace, Mr. Trump told those on the line that he would meet one on one with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia to try to seal an agreement.

Mr. Trump had just brought into play two of Kyiv’s deepest fears: that it would be forced to cede land to Russia as part of a peace deal, and that Mr. Putin would be given a way out of his diplomatic isolation. It was a direct challenge to Ukraine’s core principles that territorial issues be addressed only after a cease-fire and that no deal be concluded without Kyiv.

After Mr. Zelensky left the call, he recorded his usual evening address to Ukrainians, trying to project optimism. “I spoke with President Trump,” he said, speaking from a playground in Romny as the sun set behind him. “Russia now seems to be more inclined toward a cease-fire — the pressure is working.”

But, he cautioned,...

Trump is a master at this game.

He has set himself up for a big win if things go well and he can now place the blame on Zelensky and the EU if things fall apart.

More importantly, he can negotiate a temporary cease fire with Russia and say that he has taken things as far as his agreement with our valued EU and Ukrainian allies.

He has done his job to stop the fighting and now the EU can Ukraine can finalize the details with Russia under terms acceptable to them

Yet another reason that the blob hates Trump.

Everyone in the world, at this point, knows that there will have to be some land for peace deal, which gives the war profiteers some great slogans that work on the weaker minds. “Don’t reward the aggressors!” “No territorial concessions!”

blah blah blah.

All the while everyone’s getting rich, and the only losers are the soldiers on both sides.

Trump doesn’t want any part of the money to be made from this war, and is willing to state the obvious — that the Ukraine is going to have to cede the Russian speaking territories currently occupied by Russia, and the Euros are going to have to give up on the idea of Ukraine joining NATO.

Land swaps are going to be complicated to negotiate.

The front lines as of a certain date (July 15th? - the first day of Trump’s 50?) should be in the first agreement.

Land swaps can wait.

Russia Wiped Out Ukraine’s Missile Program💥🔥 Zelenskyy is Going All-in🗣️ Military Summary 2025.08.14

The corrupted little green goblin can cede territory the easy way ( negotiating) or the hard way….in either case, no Ceasefires should be allowing the Ukies to regroup and lick their wounds.

The main goal should be an independent Ukraine retaining all the territory it now does, which Russia will want to be neutral, have no foreign military presence in it or in its airspace, no connection whatsoever to NATO or any other military alliance, no long-range (>100km) missiles or drones, no stealth aircraft, no nuclear weapons or any nuclear enrichment or nuclear weapons development.

Ukraine will need unlimited defensive means of its own: troops, tanks, anti-tank weapons, anti-aircraft weapons, tactical drones & missiles, mortars, Claymore mines, patrol boats, and artillery.

Ukraine will need weapons Ukraine can’t make itself and financial help from the EU to fund its defense. This funding might be based on Russian military funding, Russian conscription, placement of troop concentrations within 100km of the front lines, etc.

Few Ukrainians would agree to territorial concessions. At best they’ll tolerate the de facto state of Russian occupation.

The Ukrainians are not going to simply hand over territory that would cost Putin 100,000 more dead soldiers to take by force of arms.

Vlad, what you want is simply lines on maps. The lives of Russian soldiers on Earth must take priority over lines on paper.

The agreement should not formally cede land.

More globalist propaganda.

Zelensky can’t hold elections because he is so unpopular he would lose in a landslide, but armchair war pigs like you are willing to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian life.

Aerial Firepower: The drone is equipped with a 12-gauge shotgun, featuring a recoilless system that ensures perfect stability when firing. It currently carries two rounds, with the potential to upgrade to four.
Blazing Speed & Precision: It can intercept targets moving at speeds up to 200 km/h, making it a lethal threat to Russian assets like the “Gerbera” UAVs and various reconnaissance drones.
Stealth Approach: Thanks to a sophisticated digital communication system with frequency hopping (FHSS), the interceptor can close in on its prey undetected by standard Russian anti-drone systems.
Automated Kill Mode: This is where the drone truly shines. While a pilot can fire manually, the drone boasts an automatic mode. A sensor in its nose, with the pilot’s authorization, automatically triggers the shot the moment a target enters the kill zone. This system is a game-changer against fast, maneuvering targets, where human reaction time might not be enough.

Launched by catapult and guided by a rotating digital camera, Besomar’s interceptor is more than just a weapon; it’s a testament to Ukraine’s relentless drive to create smarter, stronger, and more effective solutions to defend its sovereignty. It’s a clear message: Ukraine’s tech front is as dynamic and resilient as its front lines.

What Trump might be thinking of doing is to swap pro-Moscow built-up areas Putin is trying to take for pro-Kiev rural areas Putin also has seized.

Be aware that many of these built-up areas were built in a shoddy manner under Communism.

Pro-Moscow residents of currently Ukrainian-held built-up areas probably would be better off relocating to housing that could be built on pro-Moscow owner land adjacent to already built-up areas in territory now held by Russia.
