Back in the day, I and several others worked on the THAAD system at this location, Nice to see it growing.

We need swarms of tens of thousands of cheap drones.
Expensive missiles are a bad investment.

why yes they do and always have since the end of WW II...Army base Redstone Arsenal is there with Marshall Space Flight center (NASA) being contained within that...that’s where the Von Braun engineering team developed the engines for the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo missions.
I graduated High School in Huntsville and came back after my undergrad to work with Boeing on the Space Shuttle Main Engine project as a software architect.

“never-fail weapon”
Hard to imagine any union-made product capable of meeting that requirement. But seriously, it sounds like another of those “Wonder Weapons” that the Neocons keep bragging about, but which that Russia keeps destroying (or at least neutralizing) in Ukraine.

You know full well the “our Military needs” psyop propaganda is absolute bullshirt for the weak minded and gullible. I am not one of those and you know it, so do not insult my intelligence by even going down that road...

Not only do I not know that, I can’t even make out what you are trying to say.
You think national defense is a scam and not needed?

Courtland was the center of huge Pine logging operations years ago, rockets have to be more fun than logging. There is great fishing close by and it would be a great place to live. I nearly bought a waterfront home nearby and was going to commute to Birmingham every third day(fire department)to work. I blew it by not doing that, because the place would be worth two million dollars today. Towboats practically went through the backyard.

We need swarms of tens of thousands of cheap drones. Expensive missiles are a bad investment. You might note that this is not an offensive missile; it is an interceptor designed to shoot down incoming enemy missiles. Drones cannot do that job.

I don’t think so, but it seems you can’t explain what you see wrong in America increasing our military capabilities in a dark and threatening world.
