CACHE, Okla. (KSWO) - Cache Public Schools had an unveiling on Aug. 11 where they showed their brand new electric buses.
School officials say this is a vital step in modernizing transportation for students in their district.
A ribbon cutting was held this afternoon to showcase the 6 brand new electric vehicles.
Officials say the move to electric is more affordable and reliable in the face of volatile diesel prices and shows a real step in improving the students’ experience.

Stupid people wasting taxpayer money buying stupid things
“How long before they break down?”
Oh, I figure right about January, maybe February.
.
Well, I hope they also covered the school grounds with solar panels and windmills, or, better, built a small nuclear electricity generating plant to keep them charged.
They must be caching the Biden administration policies!
Electric busses? They never give up.......Sheesh!
Many drivers struggle to fit comfortably in the cabs of certain electric buses , what’s this about ,LOL
I can’t wait……

Full disclosure: I was against EVs from the start and now oppose Elon Musk for being a traitor to Trump. I’m not evenhanded about this topic.
Life insurance soaring for students.
Line them up in an open field when they die. Section 8 housing.
“””The bus rollout comes courtesy of an EPA grant the district received about a year and a half ago.””””
And when they break down, which they will, they will find the manufacturer out of business and parts are unavailable.
FREE! has a magic all it’s own.
I hope they begin evacuation drills for school students, to quickly get them to leave a burning bus. There have been many incidents of electric buses spontaneously catching fire, particularly the ones with battery packs in the ceiling. Train students to be able to open windows and rear doors, not just the front door.

Yeah, there’s no fossil fuels in OK.
“shows a real step in improving the students’ experience.”
By learning to flee an electric battery firestorm I suppose.
Rhetorical question: “Why do you think the adults in your life wanted to inflict this on you?”
So when the first one burns full of students, I will be too sad to gloat.
In a couple of years they can show us pictures of all the broken down buses parked somewhere.
volatile diesel prices
the new buzzword?
