“I’m Trying to Hold My Temper”: MSNBC Contributor Expresses His Impotent Rage Over Trump’s D.C. Crime Crackdown

(DCNF)—Immediately after President Donald Trump announced his administration’s plans to combat violent crime in Washington, D.C. on Monday, MSNBC contributor Eddie Glaude said he was refraining from losing his “temper.”

Trump announced that he was taking measures — including declaring a “public safety emergency” and deploying the National Guard — to counter violent crime in the city. Glaude, on “Chris Jansing Reports,” hurled various accusations at Trump, claiming the president was not genuinely concerned with stopping crime.

“Chris, to be honest with you, I’m trying to hold my temper. I think there’s an ongoing argument that he’s having in his head with Black Lives Matter. There’s an ongoing argument that he’s having with the questions around criminal justice reform and police reform,” Glaude told host Chris Jansing. “It’s interesting that he really doesn’t really care about what’s actually happening in D.C. on a certain level, because he’s not trying to get at the underlying root causes. He’s not looking at examples of how to address rising crime rates that doesn’t require a form of policing that leads to increased incarcera[tion].”

“We have to understand this Chris within the context of Donald Trump’s racial politics and within the context of his effort to get [deceased pedophile Jeffrey] Epstein off the front pages … when we try to treat this as a rational response, then we lose sight of the actual politics that’s being played here,” he added. “And he’s actually trying to give his base red meat to get them off of the Epstein story. And it’s on the backs of citizens in Washington, D.C. He’s going to undermine the democratic process in the district!”

Trump also announced that Attorney General Pam Bondi would be overseeing the federal takeover of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

Though violent crime has fallen 26% in comparison to 2024, there have been 99 homicides thus far in D.C. in 2025, according to the MPD tracker.

High-profile cases of violent crime have also recently swept across the nation’s capital.

Former Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) staffer Edward Coristine, also known as “Big Balls,” received a severe beating when he intervened in a carjacking of a woman at around 3 a.m. on August 5.

A June 30 gang-related shooting also killed 21-year-old congressional intern Eric Tarpinian-Jachym near a Metro station after the suspects allegedly emerged from their vehicle and opened fire on a group of people. In May, 31-year-old Elias Rodriguez allegedly fatally shot two Israeli Embassy staffers outside of the Capital Jewish Museum.

Anger issues plus low IQ issues.
Equal total idiocy.

It’s funny to see what TDS does to people.

Hilarious actually.

How do you sell being angry that someone will finally fight crime in DC? Even more ridiculous is that Dem voters will still support Dems who object to making their city safe and clean.

Sucks to be you, MSNBC “Contributer”. Go back to Tic-Tac-Toe and other demanding (to you) pursuits. I can understand your rather low standards, since you probably voted for Carter, Bubba Clinton, Pedo Joe, and the Cackling Whore.

They’re so angry. Their rage will blow up. What harm it’s going to do I can’t imagine anything significant. It’s like a four year old spinning around on the floor. In my case whenever that happened I just let the child wear himself out. Didn’t happen more than once for any of them

This guy had a lot of attention for his rages I guess still does probably

Here’s what they don’t realize. All the accusations and theories that antifa was funded were true. And that money has dried up

Look at Trumps successes and the maturity of his kids and you’ll see a guy who doesn’t put their anger into his gauge. Just laws and order.

Clearly, the Dems have nothing to offer America except TDS. And they wonder why fewer and fewer people take them seriously.

Eddie Glaude

I have never heard of him before and really don't care to hear his opinions.

Maybe he thinks the people that have to live in Washington DC want to live in a violent city that fails to do anything to protect their persons or property from roving gangs of thugs.

If he does he is welcome to keep his opinions to himself.
