President Trump triggered the left again with an announcement Thursday morning that could threaten the Democrats’ hold on several congressional seats and electoral votes.
Trump announced that he had ordered the Department of Commerce to “immediately” start working on a new census that would exclude illegal aliens from being counted. One legal residents would be included.
“I have instructed our Department of Commerce to immediately begin work on a new and highly accurate CENSUS based on modern day facts and figures and, importantly, using the results and information gained from the Presidential Election of 2024,” Trump wrote. “People who are in our Country illegally WILL NOT BE COUNTED IN THE CENSUS.”
“Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
The Gateway Pundit reported back in June that Trump was poised to remove noncitizens from the census.
The result could prove devastating to the Democratic Party. Here’s why:
The census count is used to apportion House seats, determine the number of votes each state gets in the Electoral College for selecting the president, and drive the flow of trillions of dollars in government funds.
Some immigration researchers project that including noncitizens in the census count disproportionately benefits Democratic states with large illegal alien populations.
Red states would have benefited under the administration’s desired census counting shift. Had authorities excluded such migrants from the 2010 census, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, Ohio and North Carolina all would have gained one seat in the House, while California would have lost three seats, and Texas and Florida would have each lost one seat – with the total number of Electoral College votes allotted each state changing accordingly.
Stephen Miller, though, estimates the impact would be even greater if illegals were excluded from the census. He told Sean Hannity last night the Democrats gained up to 30 SEATS thanks to unauthorized migrants.
Fewer electoral votes and fewer House seats would be the future for Democrats under proper census. Combine this with the GOP’s newfound aggressiveness in redistricting, and the Democrat party could find themselves locked out of power for a long time.
Because of this, it’s no wonder that so many are losing their minds.

They also use illegals in the census to make fake ballots.
If the immigrants are legal and have applied for citizenship, they should be counted. It would be a way to show that this is not a matter of partisanship, but legality. It would also be hard to call the process a matter of racism. It would also help distinguish illegals.

If ANYONE wonders why Dems will battle to the death for illegals, THIS IS WHY..this is about the Dems very existence as a political party, without illegals they cease to exist, imagine the Dems not having 30 congressional seats..that would be it for them and they know it. Dems figured out how to use illegals as their useful idiots, import them, spread em around to different areas, gain congressional seats to represent them, they played the game, but the game is OVER
Only citizens should be counted.
Offering an opinion without supporting logic doesn’t cut it.
Should we include tourists in the Census? Or maybe it should mean more than just physical location.

A great idea, but I don’t see how it can be implemented. First we have 5 years to go before the next census. And I seem to remember some previous USSC case that indicated that Trump couldn’t exclude them. I don’t remember details though.
I disagree . . . slightly. Everyone, legal and illegal, should be counted, so we have an accurate total population and demographic details. But then the illegals should be removed from the total — to the extent possible — when it comes time to reapportion legislative districts and distribute gov’t handouts paid for by taxpayers.

You said that legal immigrants who have applied for citizenship should be counted.
I said, only citezens should be counted.
You opined without a supporting argument as did my response. Your hypocrisy "doesn't cut it".
