*US JULY NONFARM PAYROLLS RISE 73K M/M; EST. +104K
*US JULY TWO-MONTH PAYROLL NET REVISION SUBTRACTS 258,000
*US JULY UNEMPLOYMENT RATE 4.2%; LAST 4.1%
On the upside, not even Powell can make the case against a rate cut in September.
Which means we no longer need Joe Pedo’s 21 million “hardworking” freeloaders. We’re out of jobs. Send them home. We need these few jobs for starving and thirsty Americans graduating from college.
Hiring ALWAYS slows down im the Summer.
I watched Fox Business- and they skewered Powell- said he had complete access to all the data, especially the downward revisions, and he still refused to lower rates...
Many of them called for an end to the Fed
These are some serious downward revisions.
We know Powell is NOT working for the best interest of the American people.
Whoever put together these numbers should lose HIS job.
he’s a left wing idealouge....
Economic numbers have always been “cooked”.
Harry Truman referred to economists as two-fisted.
When they read the numbers, the weasels wanted it both ways.
Hence Truman called them two-fisted for saying “on the one hand” but then “on the other hand”.
Trump’s economy is on the right track for two main reasons.
Drill baby, drill and cutting every regulation he can get his hands on.
I think it’s important to look below the surface. Letting people go at NPR, PBS, USAID, while increasing employment at ICE, is good. Increasing state government employment seems wrong.
I would like to see increasing private sector employment. I hope to see it in the energy sector. Cheaper American energy will encourage manufacturing.
If this were the Biden Administration, we would be saying heads should roll. A 1000+% overestimate is not a rounding error.
I agree about the public sector, but 26,000 manufacturing jobs were lost in May and June as well
Just means more people employed.
Instead, we got lousy stock market numbers, the Fed’s decision and now this jobs report.
It almost makes you wonder if there are those working behind the scenes to take the wind out of the sails of the Trump administration, doesn’t it?
Agreed.
Okay, BUT is this a “seasonally adjusted” figure similar to housing starts/permits?
BLS stats are seasonally adjusted
No, only 100 K Jobs were expected
Truth
The Gall will tell the Story. The Tax Cuts would have worked there way in by then
