Democrats in the U.S. Senate are doing everything they can to block President Donald Trump's agenda by slow-walking his political nominees in the upper chamber. At this point in former President Joe Biden's term, 74 of his nominees were confirmed. For Trump, it's just 42 percent.
Currently more that 150 nominees are still unconfirmed, which includes a number of high profile positions inside federal agencies and U.S. Embassies across the globe.
Republicans are fed up with the antics.
"GOP leaders are trying to build pressure on Democrats to confirm dozens of nominees in the coming days. Top Senate Republicans are warning Democrats that unless they start helping to speed up confirmations of President Donald Trump’s nominees, there will be consequences — including a potential effort to change the chamber’s rules," POLITICO reports. "The warning shot comes as Republicans seek to confirm dozens of Trump nominees before leaving for their traditional summer break. Doing so without weeks of delay would require Democrats to cut a deal to speed up the process, and internal frustration is mounting about the overall pace of confirmations."
President Donald Trump is pressuring the U.S. Senate to stay in Washington D.C. through September, canceling their August recess, to get his nominees confirmed.

Get On With It then.
Action, Action, Action.....
Bulldozers heading for obstructionist Schumer and pals.
Just get a real bulldozer and run over the idiot already.
“The problem is Chuck Schumer and his Democrat colleagues in the Senate. This is unprecedented obstruction.”
No, the problem is republicans are such cowards they refuse to fight. Whining is about the best we get from them.
Thune should say, “ok. Since democrats don’t want these positions filled, I’m going to recommend we defund them and do away with the positions permanently.”
Turn off the Senate air conditioning.
Republican senators from Southern states can bear heat better than Democratic senators from say the Northeast, Northwest, California and Hawaii.
The cowards need to do it then and quit playing grab ass.
I’ll believe it when it happens.
Thune needs to cancel recess or adjourn the Senate so Trump can make recess appointments. One or the other. Doing neither will not suffice.
Thune and Johnson are not on our side.
Republicans are so weak. It’s only unprecedented because Republicans are weak. Some of the judges that now sit on the bench are unbelievably political. How in the world can these fools sail through while Democrats are able to stop Trump. The obvious answer is that it is not only the Democrats and this absolutely couldn’t happen without support by the majority party.
C'mon, Schmuckie. Rachel stepped up; so can you.
Cancel the summer recess. Don’t let the freaking Democrats go home until they vote.
Get off your a$$es and pull the trigger. Change the rules and get on with it. You know the Dems would not hesitate.
They own the congress and WH. Like 2016.
They still seek the approval of the rats?
We know how that worked out. Steamroll them!

Thanks, I was unaware of that point from History.
