A heartless monster was caught on video allegedly “dragging a motionless dog” to a Queens street before dousing the helpless pooch in a flammable liquid and setting him on fire, officials said Saturday.
The brindle pit bull, left to burn, was found on 128 Street and 116 Avenue in South Ozone Park at 4:45 a.m. Thursday, cops said.
A necropsy is being performed to determine if he was burned to death or killed in another way first, a source said. When police arrived, they found the tiger-striped doggie “lying in the street” dead, a police source said. They plan to charge the brute with arson, cops said.
The alleged dog killer was last seen wearing a maroon sweatshirt with a “Polo” logo in tan lettering across the chest, gray pants and a light brown designer MCM backpack, which sells for between $500 and $1,000, cops said.
The surveillance photos show him in a nearby bodega and walking past a white iron fence.

That’s a very clear photo. Someone in that neighborhood is going to recognize him. If he purchased something at that store, there is a record and a name.
If it’s like a lot of neighborhoods in NYC the cops can count on very little help from the locals.

And even less help from the judges. If caught, this guy is likely to be declared mentally incompetent. So it’s a bit of hospitalization, followed by release.

A week ago someone let two pit bulls kill a cat.
I’m volunteering at the local animal rescue here in my town. I’m a “Bark Buddie” and have encountered so many amazing pups, from a 150 lb. Shiloh Shepherd named Dolph, to a tubby little pit bull baby boy named Indianapolis ( he gives kisses for cookies and waddles around like a canine Bobby Hill from King of the Hill) and is just the good will ambassador of his breed.
I love dogs (heck, I love all animals, EVEN Yorkshire Terriers even though they terrify me.)
