Funds from Fire Aid concert went to non-profits—not LA wildfire victims: report

It has been reported that of the tens of millions in Fire Aid money distributed so far since the January benefit concerts for Los Angeles’ wildfire victims, all has gone to nonprofits, not directly to residents impacted.

Sue Pasco, the editor at Circling the News who also lost her home in the Palisades fire, spoke with Fox 11 on the discovery. She said that a reader had sent her a message saying, "I’ve never seen any Fire Aid money. How do I apply for Fire Aid money?"

What she discovered was that the initial $50 million given in the first round of distributing the $100 million raised at the benefit concerts went to 120 nonprofits

[snip]

"I looked at these nonprofits, and one of them said we help mobile home parks. And there were two mobile home parks in the Palisades, all low income. And so I contacted the people there. They had never received any money. They had never heard of that," said Pascoe. She added that one of the nonprofits listed "cleans preschool bathrooms." Fire Aid says on its website that the first round of grants reached over 150,000 Angelenos through the 120 nonprofits.

According to Fire Aid’s website, of the first $50 million in grants issued, $3.6 million went to nonprofits associated with children and families, $4.3 million went to community hubs and conveners, $7.6 million went to disaster relief, $3.9 million went to food access and security, $4.8 million went to health and housing, $3.3 million went to musicians and artists, $2.3 million went to public resources and benefits navigation, $6 million went to continued relief for wildfire victims and communities, $3.8 million went to students and schools, $1.1 million went to supportive services to vulnerable populations, .....

I suspect all the funds went to, not just non-profits, but left-wing non-profits. I wonder how much Newsom and other democrat politicians received?

Nonprofits are mostly scams. Victims of the fire will be lucky to see a nickel on the dollar spent on actual relief. The rest is lining pockets.

At least all the libs who donated to Fire Aid feel good about themselves. That’s all that matters.

And replace the money from USAID. At least it was not taxpayer money.

The money went to left-wing storm troopers - the same progressive legionaires who receive the money designated “for other purposes” in bills passed by the Congress:

The Greatest Scam on Earth - the federally funded progressive patronage system for people who work at the many almost invisible “going concerns” about which, most of the public are not aware . . . in various internal operations of the public, private, and government sectors.

Scattered across the country, in many “shops.” A small printing company. A florest. A “bodega.” A coffee shop and others (egs. sub-contractors in government workspaces) that are on the take in order to survive, and their participation helps them to also survive government regulations.

As long as they comply with the “for other purposes.” Such as showing up in the progressive demonstrations for the media/public eye.

Did any fire aid ever reach anyone living in Maui?

Obama/Holder invented the scam of filtering money through left wing NGOs who are a paid army of volunteers ready to do communist party bidding. Despicable.

Probably this is what the Peace Corp has degenerated into as well. It also explains what happened to the FEMA aid that was supposed to help flood victims in NC. It’s all one big grift.

Obama/Holder invented the scam of laundering money through lefty NGOs-——
populated by a paid army of volunteers groomed to do communist party bidding.

They raised $100 million for “fire victims,” but according to Fire Aid’s falsified website,
the first $50 million in grants issued went not to victims,
<><>$3.6 million went to nonprofits associated with children and families,
<><>$4.3 million went to community hubs and conveners,
<><>$7.6 million went to disaster relief,
<><>$3.9 million went to food access and security,
<><>$4.8 million went to health and housing,
<><>$3.3 million went to musicians and artists,
<><>$2.3 million went to public resources and benefits navigation,
<><>$6 million went to continued relief for wildfire victims and communities,
<><>$3.8 million went to students and schools,
<><>$1.1 million went to supportive services to vulnerable populations.....

Trouble is...... fire victims never saw a dime of the millions.

Globetrotting Mayor Bass and Gov Hair-gel Newsome must have
a lot of “humanitarian” interest in compassionate NGO’s......snx

Charity is a big business. There’s way too much money floating around for it to be otherwise.

Col. Smedley Butler, USMC, once said that war was a racket. Naive fool. Everything paid for through taxes or donations is a racket.

Corrupt politicians, corrupt government in a corrupt state and they expect what? I’d give California back to Mexico, put a border wall up and watch it collapse totally although it’s almost there now.
