The DOJ asked a court to make public some records stemming from Jeffrey Epstein's prosecution
Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, who submitted the requests, did not elaborate on what “other” information they would shield.
The Justice Department’s move came amid pressure not just from the left, but from some Republicans who in recent days have pushed for the release of the records. Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) joined Democrats, signing on as co-sponsors to legislation to force a vote on releasing the records.
It came after a Wall Street Journal report that described evidence that Trump, a then-real estate tycoon in New York, sent a racy letter to Epstein in 2003. It said the letter was part of a book of messages organized by Epstein’s friend, Ghislaine Maxwell, for his 50th birthday.
POLITICO has not independently verified the authenticity of the letter, which Trump claims is fake. On Friday, Trump sued the newspaper, as well as its parent company, News Corp., for defamation, seeking at least $20 billion.

What time frame would this be? I’m assuming grand jury testimony occurred prior to Epstein’s 2019 death.
If the testimony documents one set of situations (mostly making rich Democrats look bad) and the current contents of the “Epstein File” has had Democrat data removed and had Republican data invented and inserted, then that would be quite telling and would be a real parallel to the Steele Dossier and Russia Russia Russia. How credible is anything that the FBI has been playing with?
This is isn’t journalism. It is gossip enhanced by trying to legitmizing quotes and then covering your own ass by saying “Politico hasn’t verified any facts”, so what they are saying is it is bullsh*t, but we want to print it to give it legitimacy. Trump should sue them as well.

They can talk about Republican data all they want. What they can’t get around his Ms Maxwell was invited to Chelsea’s wedding even after Jeffrey’s first conviction and the fact Bills picture appears in his famous mansion over his fireplace.
Politico can’t verify the letter because it’s typed so a handwriting expert can’t verify trumps handwriting
Probably the same people who aren’t pleased by him not getting us out of the Ukraine War.
What does it get the administration?
The Epstein files are no longer my main interest.
It is the future of the DOJ and FBI under Trump.
Will Blondi ever appear in front of a camera and microphone again?
What about Dan Bongino, is he in witness protection?
Fire Comey’s daughter.
Request release of Grand Jury testimony.
Those two moves have not been enough to make Blondi’s handlers believe she is ready for a prime time appearance in front of a camera and microphone.
Trump is just not going to take a much of hit on these files.
It is Blondi, Patel, and Bongino who are going to take the hit.
They are going to have to look into the camera and face the folk that they have been getting riled up about Epstein for quite a while.
Putting Bondi, Kash and/or Bongino in press conferences is a high risk strategy.
Keeping them silent is a solid plan.
They have plenty of work to do.

The stuff involving Epstein is to muddy the waters cause Bill Clinton is up to his eyeballs in involvement with the guy. All the hard evidence suggests Trump is innocent of even the smallest thing with the guy. Bill Clinton not so much
This information is only about Epstein and his GF...not very useful.

Kudos to the Pam Bondi DOJ for launching this motion so quickly. Not to rain on it, but if you simply walked down the DOJ hallway to OPR and published the full Acosta transcript from 2020 where OPR asked about Epstein’s intelligence ties, you’d get us easy answers immediately

Also, can someone at DOJ just stand in front of a podium and tell us the results of the CIA name trace so we can at least stop worrying you didn’t even ask for it?

The judge will just say no (GJ records are sealed for a reason!) and Trump can then say “Welp, I tried - ain’t happening, so shutup about it”.
Release everything on paper. What’s so hard? Cross off names of victims only. This never should have turned into the turd it’s become.
AG Pam Bondi was asked pretty recently if Epstein has been an Intelligence Agent (Israel? MI6? CIA? FBI? They didn’t specify. Just: was he an Intelligence Agent?)
Her answer: I don’t know.
Like, it never occurred to her to look into that possibility.
I would like all the documents related to the raid on the Island. But I know that will never happen.
Grand jury results only include Epstein and Giselle court presidings. right?
