Usually, the only thing third parties do is siphon votes from the party they're most like and throw the election to the other party. Ask Al Gore about Ralph Nader; or, Bob Dole about Ross Perot.

Third parties, every now and then, play the role of vanguard for change. But, stick around too long, and you wind up with your head on a platter like John the Baptist.

To this day there are still people who say if they could do it all over again, they'd still vote for Perot.

Knowing full well that only benefitted Clinton.

I doubt Musk's little idea will gain any traction.

Mike Pence supporting it tells us all we need to know. Trump never had the RINO votes to begin with.

What’s interesting is what’s implied but MSNBC isn’t saying: Republicans are leading Democrats on the generic ballot.

If Musk is out there every day talking about debt slavery and how the US is spending 1 trillion on interest payments for the national debt that is at least going to keep his head in the game. We are going to need specifics obviously but that is a reasonable start.

” from a new poll by Echelon Insights.”

Right wing pollster with a pretty good track record.

Democrats are polling 19%, so when asked, of course they’re going to pick someone else. Then you have the usual TDS crowd.

In short, this mental masturbation.

If I could do it over again, I would never vote for a Bush. I did vote for a Bush in both ‘88 and 2000. I wasn’t living in Florida in 2000, but if I had been a Florida voter, the only result would be making the lawyer’s jobs slightly harder.

In ‘92 and ‘96 I voted for Philips, I think I went constitution again in 2004. I believe I wrote in Taft (the deceased president) in 2008, and in 2012 Coolidge/Palin (I was voting in Ohio that year, which potentially might be in play, and figured that if the lawyer’s were involved, they could argue I was voting for Palin’s electors——along with a Massachusetts Republican I could stomach.

Voting for Trump is not the same thing as voting for Reagan-—I do regret I wasn’t old enough to vote in 1984. If Trump can’t remake the Republican party, (or a party be created to replace the Republican party, which seems even less likely) the Republic is toast.

Musk is smart, no doubt about it. But he’s also eccentric lacking in political common sense. If he really believes in America, he would not be handing elections over to the commies with a third party.

A lot of morons will vote for his third party, even numerous dead ones, illegals and double voters in order to sway results.

And sadly, there are enough republicans, such as the Freeper Never-Trumpers, that will vote for this clown’s party.
