Pence: ‘Time has come’ to release Epstein files
The Hill ^ | 07/17/25 | by Sarah Fortinsky

Former Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday joined calls for the Trump administration to release more files in the case involving disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

In an interview on CBS News’s “The Takeout,” Pence called for greater transparency out of the White House, while stressing the importance of protecting the names of victims involved.

“The time has come for the administration to release all of the files regarding Jeffrey Epstein’s investigation and prosecution,” he told host Major Garrett.

“It’s important that we protect the names of the victims,” he continued. “They should be excluded from any disclosure, but whether or not the facts justify charges, I think that anyone who participated or was associated with this despicable man ought to be held up to public scrutiny.”

Pence added, “I just think we ought to get the facts to the American people. I mean, I’ve always believed in transparency.”

A number of prominent Trump supporters, including prominent members of Congress, have called for the administration to release more information related to the Epstein case.

Even some staunch allies of the president, like far-right activist Laura Loomer and Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), have been critical of the administration’s handling of the files and called for a special counsel to investigate.

But Trump has consistently pushed back against the criticism and on Wednesday wrote a lengthy Truth Social post, in which he dismissed the uproar over the Epstein files as a “scam” perpetuated by Democrats and suggested he no longer welcomed his backers who have called for more transparency around the documents.

“Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bulls‑‑‑,’ hook, line, and sinker,” Trump posted. “They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years.”

The Justice Department and FBI issued a joint memo last week that said Epstein did not have a client list and confirmed he died by suicide — not due to foul play as many suspected — in his New York City jail cell in 2019.

The findings incensed members of the MAGA movement, who have for years pushed conspiracy theories about Epstein’s death and claims that prominent Democrats would be named on a client list.

Their report also seemingly contradicts messaging from Attorney General Pam Bondi earlier this year when she said the list was “sitting on my desk” for review. Trump has praised Bondi for her work on the case in recent days and told his base to move on.

Why wasn't Pence, Nikki Haley and the Democrats making this demand when Biden was in the White House?

I think most of us know why.

That so many RINOs and Democrats are pushing to have the files released backs Trump's contention that whatever files still exist have been corrupted.

But, it's a mess that Trump needs to clean up and get the truth out about.

This is too easy for Trump. Release the list, but first create your own list first. Put George Soros on the list. Put other prominent leftwing Democrat supporters on the list. Put Mike Pence on the list. Put Harvey Weinstein on the list. Put Diddy on the list.

I wonder what traitor Pence knows about this situation. He’s deep state so if he’s asking for the files to be released he might know that something in those files will damage Trump. Regardless Trump has to release them or he’s done anyway. What a mess. I was so optimistic that Trump could turn this country around but now he has this albatross hanging around his neck. It’s just so depressing.

That’s it , the files were scrubbed, and doctored. This just confirmed it in my mind.

Pence thinks he’ll be president someday.

Oh, he knows he'll never be president. But Pence has discovered that being anti-Trump is profitable.

That said, the Epstein case deserves its own independent special investigator at this point. I doubt there's any client list to be discovered, but too many of Trump's own supporters wonder or have suspicions. Appoint an independent investigator, name names, and let the chips fall where they may.

How about trying to find out what the Bush Administration was up to instead blaming everything on the Dems tainted all evidence claim

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/jul/13/ken-starr-jeffrey-epstein-book

How about talking to people mentioned in that article

The files have clearly been seeded with negative data that corrupts the worldview of maga, and donald trump and conservatives and christians.

I say we arrest the members of the sudden district of New York justice department. Enter put them in solitary confinement in communicado, indefinitely, like the j six treatment.

Then give our ream 2 years maximum to completely seed and rewrite the evidentiary tables and documents so that when it is released, it implicates every rino, every communist, in every anti maga democrat in the united states, in the five eyes group of nations.
Using AI computers, this should be relatively easy and productive.

For all of you excusing the refusal to look into the Epstein case keep in mind this quote (which turns out to be true)

“The prosecutor added that someone in Washington – the book does not specify who – was “calling the shots on the case”. Villafaña warned fellow prosecutors at the time that Epstein was probably still abusing underaged girls, but according to the unnamed prosecutor quoted by Brown “it was clear that she had to find a way to strike a deal because a decision had already been made not to prosecute Epstein.”

How much damage was done because someone in the Bush Administration protected this scumbag.
