Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) expressed support Wednesday for the “full disclosure” of government files related to notorious pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
“At some point, there is going to have to be a resolution,” Thune said of the outcry from President Trump’s base over the administration’s handling of documents pertaining to the Epstein case.
“We’re all interested in making sure that justice is served and that there is full disclosure and there’s transparency around this,” ***.
The FBI and Justice Department announced the conclusion of a “systematic review” of the Epstein case last week in a controversial, unsigned memo, which indicated that no further disclosures in the case were coming
The review found “no credible evidence” that Epstein, who died in his Manhattan jail cell on Aug. 10, 2019, “blackmailed prominent individuals” or that investigations against “uncharged third parties” were warranted.
The memo included a link to surveillance video from the Manhattan prison where Epstein died, suggesting that no one entered the convicted pedophile’s cell the night he committed suicide.
Earlier Tuesday, Trump accused his “past supporters” of buying into the “Jeffrey Epstein Hoax,” arguing that it’s all a “scam” involving documents cooked up by previous Democratic presidential administrations.
The president described those demanding more information about the case as “weaklings” and declared that he doesn’t “want their support anymore.”
“The president and Attorney General Pam Bondi will make the right decisions, but I’m always a believer in transparency,” Thune said Wednesday. “I think more is always better.”
*** House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) has similarly expressed support for “transparency” regarding the government’s Epstein probe.
“It’s a very delicate subject, but we should put everything out there and let the people decide,” the House speaker told conservative podcast host Benny Johnson on Tuesday.

In hindsight a lot of this becomes clear. She says right here that there were hundreds of victims OF JEFFREY EPSTEIN.
Maxwell's trial verdict was very clear and explict -- she procured. Epstein abused. Full stop. That's it. That's all that happened. She's in jail. He's dead. Let's all stop talking about it.
The government had this all tied up with a bow three years ago and we didn't see it.

You are exactly correct. A lot of the yelling to “shut this down” doesn’t’ understand this. Epstein didn’t start 5 years ago. Think 20.

The left wing sharks smell blood. The media will triple down with sources say Trump visited Epstein’s homes. Had a meal with him. Played golf with him. Watched child porn with him. Raped kids with him. You all know the drill.
That was my first thought.
My second was, “Israel”.

Trump is hurting himself over this. Must be something big in those files for him to self destruct like this. He’s either in those files himself and/or covering up for Israel. Mark my words this is never going away. Either Trump releases the files or the Midterms will put the Dems back in charge in Congress and they will continue their lawfare against him.
That will become evident, just like everything on the HilaryHag’s creation of the Steele dossier.
Release everything, uneditted, unredacted. No hold backs, especially no “that is boring the US Citizens won’t want to see that.”
Then, where there are holes (e.g., a court in Timbuktu has names under seal — kinda like the JFK files? ) just point to them. “If we are to see that file then that judge needs to release it — go badger him.”

Failing that, I am thru with DJT. Completely. Is he also doing great stuff? Absolutely.
But, put this in the context of protecting children. Imagine you have family get togethers and there is that uncle that always tries to take one of the kiddies aside — you know what I mean. At that point the uncle has made himself anathema to the entire family. I don’t care how rich he is or how his will is worded. He is out.

Hey, I’m not saying “nothing happened”. I’m saying they are trying to shut this down by acting like there were only two bad people: Maxwell and Epstein. I don’t buy it but that seems to be what they’re selling.
