I feel that Black Fatigue and also Illegal Immigrant Fatigue have opened the door. There is a lot of stuff now where my go-to response if “I don’t care.”
Now, if someone’s house burns down, a child gets cancer, a neighbor loses their job — there are plenty of times when it is appropriate to care, to reach out, and to help. But the emotional manipulation that is based on “You are evil and you owe me” as a starting point just needs to stop. There are people who are causing rot in society and they need to be slapped.

The first word that came to my mind was “pathetic”.
At first it is because you think that what ever they are ranting about is not real, then it might be based on some sort of reality but not as bad as they are making it out and then comes the point when you could not give a rip even if it was real.
That is a really dangerous point to push people to.

I’m a landlady in a “low rent” area. Our units are all brand new rehabbed so in no hurry to rent it to squatters and destroyers which is the VAST majority of today’s tenant pool.
