Joe Rogan rips DOJ’s handling of Epstein files in scathing rant against Trump admin
The New York Post ^ | 07/15/2025 | Alex Oliveira

Joe Rogan used his latest podcast episode to weigh in on the Epstein files controversy amid public uproar over the Department of Justice’s probe into the late pedophile and his associates.

The podcast giant lambasted the Trump administration’s announcement that there was never a list or footage revealing clients of the high-flying sex pest.

“They’ve got videotape and all a sudden they don’t,” Rogan, 57, said on the latest episode of his podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience,” released Tuesday.

“You had the director of the FBI on this show saying, ‘If there was [a videotape], nothing you’re looking for is on those tapes,'” Rogan added, referring to Director Kash Patel’s appearance on the show in June.

“Like, what? Why’d they say there was thousands of hours of tapes of people doing horrible s–t? Why’d they say that? Didn’t Pam Bondi say that?”

Rogan was referring to comments Attorney General Pam Bondi made on July 1 — just days before the Department of Justice announced there was no “Epstein List” or incriminating footage of the disgraced financier’s associates — in which she told reporters the FBI was reviewing “tens of thousands of videos” of Epstein “with children or child porn.”

And months earlier, Bondi intimated that the supposed Epstein List was on her desk waiting for review — though she later clarified that there was an Epstein investigation file ready for her review, not the so-called list at the center of countless conspiracy theories.

The turnaround comes after President Trump spent months talking about plans to release everything the government had on Epstein and his associates — even publishing “The Epstein Files: Phase 1” to great fanfare in February. Next to nothing new was revealed in those files.

Theres another option you overlook. Its not just two options.

The other option is that people just bekieve he is simply wrong on this issue and is making a mistake. No one is perfect and I never voted for him thinking he was. But when we believe he is making a mistake, I believe zi owe it to my conscience and him, as a supported, to be honest and tell him he is making a mistake. I don’t just blindly accept anything. Because he isnt perfect and he sometimes is wrong, and sometimes handles things not as well as he could.

Its the difference between being a suck up yes man/dont rock the boat/just shut up and vote for McCain and Romney they’re better than the alternative, and an honest supporter who still looks at things critically, and says “hey this isn’t right” when we believe that. I think its important to provide honest feedback and criticism about what he does, to be true to myself and him.

I literally made it clear it wasn’t about being a suck up, nor being bad for being critical. If it’s a mistake, then there is a reason for it. That is what I’m interested in, the why. If someone I generally trust is doing something that seems wrong or doesn’t make sense, I try to figure out why or at least wait until things become more clear.

I think that is more productive than what many are doing (not you), calling Trump a phony, a pedophile etc and willing to throw away all the progress.

Again, I do not believe Trump is stupid or unaware this isn’t sitting well. I’m willing to still support him on all the other worthwhile things until I know more of the why in this matter. I have confidence things will make more sense in time. If you don’t that’s fine.

President Trump released every single one of the J6 political prisoners, without exception. As he promised a year before. As soon as he had the means, he delivered.

As you said, POTUS could just say “Be patient, we’re on it, we’ll bring to justice every single one involved with Epstein with rock solid evidence. Trust me.”
I would rest much easier.

But this mess is just exhausting...
“Noone’s talking about Epstein anymore. There’s no list. The Epstein files have been created by Obama and Biden. There’s CP in the files so they can’t be released.”

Please, help me - did POTUS said somewhere he’s still on it?

The reaction to this Epstein affair has risen to what could be described as mob mentality. Not only disconcerting, but dangerous.

Start with jurisdictional issues which span multiple states and countries, each with its own laws, statutes of limitations, and prosecutorial authority. International crimes require extradition and all require determining venue. These matters alone could tie up a case for years. Then there are issues involving double jeopardy and prior plea deals which could face challenges.

The most important consideration will be the weight of the evidence against and the degree of corroboration of same. (ie., housekeepers, staff, etc). Victims who testify (if located and willing to drag their private lives through the mud of public scrutiny) may be understandably reluctant to revive their memories. Guilt beyond a reasonable doubt requires evidence, not mob rage and indignation.

Those screaming out about child abuse would do well instead to focus their ire and concern toward the 400,000 unaccompanied undocumented children who crossed the border for which this government lacks any information as to their whereabouts. You want justice? The perpetrators who created, caused and approved of the invasion are the ones to go after.

Let me see..um....did all of these concerns exist when patel and bongino and trump were talking about Epstein before the election or was everyone just too stupid

Bongino and Patel were outsiders before the election who were issuing speculation framed as fact and thereby ginning up and raising public expectations. What they delivered to the public before the election was in hindsight attempts at politically mobilizing the base without any detailed knowledge. What was this “client list” turned out to be the contact information of everyone in Epstein’s orbit from barber and housekeepers to British royalty. The greatest fishing expedition since the hunt for the white whale. That’s the story.

No “allegiance” to anyone but Jesus please let him guide your tone. Trump, Musk, this country needs God now more than ever. Trump spent most of his life with the likes of figures like Epstein and it shows. He is no saint compared to Musk and vice versa applies as well. Musk is hardly a saint compared to Trump. Now will I VOTE for Musk? NO.

Unfortunately, Trump and his communication pattern along with that of those around him contributed to creating the swirling storm.

I think you bring up good points, but there is an element at work that isn’t just “mob mentality” and lots of fair-minded people are right to be critical of how the admin has handled everything, and right to remain curious until more resolution is offered.

Yes there may be some anti-climactic realizations Bongino and Patel came to upon their appointments to positions of power…but I also highly doubt the info is as neutral to the yellow pages. I get your concerns about mob mentality; but please do not go the other extreme as blind obedience is no virtue and just as mobbish in its own way. 🙄 Prince Andrew got off very easy and the ire stirred by those suspicious of his preferential treatment under the court of law, whether UK law or otherwise, is righteous anger. Meanwhile his very close acquaintance Ghislaine remains in prison.

Excellent post.

My harshest critics in life are the ones that made me fix my screwups.

I hated them at the time but I thanked them later.

Maybe now that being sued for Defamation is such a big tool of lawfare that all those people on the plane logs and in Epstein’s black book would sue for damages. Might be why some people are holding their fire.

Even one meritless law suit can bankrupt you. And hundreds of meritless lawsuits could be a disaster for anyone.

Assault attorneys have become the nuclear factor in American politics.

well put.

And if there is anyone who is especially suspicious based on actual plain as day evidence - it’s Prince Andrew - him getting off way easy goes against the basics of what our country was founded on, and in the UK, further diminishes the Royal Family. Don’t care for how the late Queen handled this especially given how the firm threw Diana under the bus.

Literally the day after Bondi claimed “nothing to see here” Andrew’s travel restrictions were lifted— and a day or two after that, the Palace announced Trump’s state visit invitation to the UK. 🙄 Meanwhile Andrew’s actual longtime pal Ghislaine sits in jail.

I honestly think our President is surrounded by bad or incompetent people who are giving him bad information and bad advice. And they won’t let critics near him. Blondi is, I believe, incompetent. Maybe she’s right now, but when you claim to great fanfare to have mountains of evidence including hundreds of videos, and then roll out with poof! nothing here! that’s either stupid or malicious. Was she right then, or is she right now? That’s what bugs me.

Praying hard for a switch-up in this terrible situation.

I’m still optimistic for the President to turn this around, somehow. Unfortunately, a friend of mine, who I convinced to vote for President Trump last November on THIS issue, is beside herself and very angry at me. Her niece was sexually assaulted by a prominent man in her small town, and it’s been difficult to get justice... the local police are dragging their feet... she sees this (rightly or wrongly) as similar. It’s personal to her, and I bet to a lot of other folks, too.

President Trump... please! I love you and what you have done for this country. Please please get out in front of this instead of brushing it away! That isn’t helping!

Makes no sense. The only possible result of that is the world sits back and says, “Trump was covering for pedophile rapists! Thank god for honest libs who demanded the files be released.”

A more detailed personal story.

When I was young I had a boss who hated me.

While he was firing me he told me exactly why he did it—and what he believed I had done wrong.

I hated his guts at the time—but it was an amazing “teaching moment”.

Like all humans I had both strengths and weaknesses—and from that point in life I learned to focus on tasks that made my strengths work for me and kept my weaknesses under control.
