Politics is downstream from culture. It’s a sentiment that has echoed and reverberated throughout the conservative movement for years – a sentiment that originated with our founder, Andrew Breitbart.
Andrew always knew that culture was the single most significant factor that affected political change.
It’s 2025. The establishment media’s credibility is nonexistent, and they are in disarray. The influence of Hollywood celebrities has been rendered not only impotent but a detriment to those in politics relying on their endorsements. Sports figures and musicians are doing the Trump dance at major events in front of major crowds. DEI is disappearing as quickly as it appeared, and you can wear a MAGA hat in Los Angeles.
It’s safe to say that the culture has shifted; and, as Andrew predicted, the political landscape shifted right alongside it as a result.
It’s been 13 years since we lost Andrew, but his legacy will always live on, and he will be remembered as the original fighter and the one who understood how culture truly affected politics.

Shit-that long. Him and Rush. Miss them big time.
Had the honor of sitting sown with him on a National Review cruise when it was hip. Great guy. You’d love to have more than one beer with him.
A lot of young people seem to be catching on that the Democrats are more of a problem than a solution and further, that Trump is actively trying, and succeeding, in providing solutions. That helps our future.
However, a lot of existing Conservatives are rather old (Reagan era). I think many of these older people do not grasp how much Obama was able to fundamentally transform the country. A lot of people do not grasp how much real and permanent damage was done by the 2008 financial crisis. Young people look around and say that the American Dream isn’t there for them. There are no careers. Wages are inadequate. People cannot afford rent, cannot afford relationships. I think it is a HUGE mistake for older Conservatives to look at Gen Z or Millennials and laugh at them, and criticize them — “Pull yourself up by your bootstraps! That’s what I did! Don’t buy expensive coffee! Then you can afford a house!”
Young people have been given a raw deal. They are potentially very much on our side. Throwing scorn at young people is a poor strategy for us. Watch the culture of Gen Z and try to see where good political views can be nurtured there.
BTTT
There was a 20 point difference between male versus female under age 30 voters for Trump and Harris.
13 years, seems more like six or so to me. I hope there is a real cultural shift, this country is dying from all the libtards squatting here.
“13 years, seems more like six or so to me.”
You must be getting up in years. I’m 82 and time seems to have gone by faster every year.
My late mom said life is like a roll of toilet tissue the closer to the end the faster it goes
I still believe the deep state had him taken out
Politics is downstream from culture. That can be interpreted a number of ways.
I listen to Breitbart all the time. They are where the truth lives.
Yeah, Andrew Breitbart’s influence isn’t as strong as it used to be.
Let’s not forget. Breitbart joined conservative protests and led conservative protests and spoke at them. There’s both videos and pictures of this. To state it plainly, a part of the Breitbart legacy has been explicitly and aggressively rejected.
These days everybody is back to their toxic old 1990s mindset that we should be uninvolved for 729 days until election day.
The Breitbart model is far superior. We need our Tea Parties back. We need an engaged populace.
When there is an engaged populace, there is pictures of it. There’s proof of it. You can see it and you can go join it.

Without question. Compliments of dinner IIRC the night before his death with Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn.
Yes Rush and Andrew had great observation skills in the lefts obsessions with power.
When I went to Vietnam in 66 the abortion pill existed; but was considered unreliable, unsafe.
When I returned from Vietnam Dec 25, 1967 the abortion pill was labeled “safe and effective”. Women and girls were openly taking the pill infront of guys to announce their availability.
The culture changed from a mix where long-term plans dominated immediate gratification to a culture where immediate gratification dominated.
The current generation are kids of those who did not have abortions.
Beyond strange not to include Mark Steyn —climate change, jihad , 2020 election, grooming gangs, vax injuries, free speech—maybe they didn’t like each other( although Breitbart’s father in law, Orson Bean, was a great friend of Steyn) or something but in my book, all said and done, Steyn is a force beyond Breitbart, though of course he’s had 13 years longer.
(Breitbart’s father in law, Orson Bean)
I had no idea thanks
Yes, Mark Steyn annually had a Christmas program on his Steyn on Line website. Orson Bean was one of his regulars. I think it was just shortly after one of those programs that Orson Bean , who must have been close to 90 ,was struck crossing the street I believe and killed. (I just checked it all on Wikipedia, and I didn’t fib once).
Wow!!
