Previous to this disaster... This aircraft had an excellent accident record.
I would have thought this might have been part of the Takeoff Config Warning System checks
Guess not?
Maybe that only has to do with flaps, etc. (flight surfaces only?)
Never put the fuel cut off switch right next to the built-in samosa maker.
As the video explains, switches are virtually impossible to operate by accident. Were switched to OFF just after the plane rotated and lifted off, because the computer was in “Air” mode, meaning the wheels were off the ground (this is controlled by sensors in the landing gear).
Another video explained that, after the switches were moved to OFF, one pilot asked the other “Why did you do that?”, to which he replied “I didn’t”.
Switches were moved back to ON and engines began to relight, but it was too late.
Wait until the final report(s). We can be damn sure that the Indian government....which is in charge of the investigation...will somehow try to blame Boeing. If they do the US report will refute that if doing so fits with the facts.
IMO, the copilot couldn’t have flipped those switches simultaneously so after he turned one off, the pilot should have caught him doing it. My money is on a remote control of the switches and a terror test for much bigger things.
These non-Native American Indians are the same people we are now allowing to run our Congress and weaponized “judiciary” mafia.
cockpit door video monitoring system:
Makes sense to cut off the fuel before crash-landing...of course, if the plane is climbing, then cutting off the fuel makes less sense.
Best for all to read the you tube post. It has the Indian Air ministry 16 page report, pictures, cut offs, a severely destroyed FDR ( Fwd Data Recorder), etc..report linked.

Names of the pilots please.
Oh no I di’int! Oh yes you di’id!
It is hard to glide a plane the size of a 787. It went down like a rock when the engines ran out of fuel.
When I first heard about this, the very first question that instantly popped into my mind was this: Were either of them a Muslim.
Jihadi in the cockpit?
Great. We suffer through TSA crap and the flight crew kills us.
Looks like mass murder/suicide.
However, it is curious that when one pilot asked the other pilot, “Why did you do that?”, the other pilot said, “I didn’t”. Perhaps in his mind he was raising the flaps when in reality he was shutting off the fuel.
No Error
I was guessing igniters. But this is close. Unusual though. There are several redundant fuel systems on aircraft. Mechanical, electric, and running off vacuum from the engines.
