Appeals court affirms E. Jean Carroll case jury verdict, gives Trump 90 days to appeal to SCOTUS

"President Trump will keep winning against Liberal Lawfare, as he is focusing on his mission to Make America Great Again," a Trump spokesperson said

The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the jury verdict in E. Jean Carroll's case that found President Trump liable for sexually assaulting her, giving him 90 days to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.

In 2023, a Manhattan federal court found Trump liable for sexually abusing and defaming Carroll, and ordered him to pay her $5 million in damages.

On Thursday, the appeals court affirmed the verdict weeks after it rejected Trump's bid to have the full judicial lineup in the circuit rehear his appeal, CNBC reported. In December, a three-judge panel of the circuit court ruled against Trump's appeal of the jury verdict.

A legal spokesperson for Trump told CNBC in a statement on Thursday: "The American People are supporting President Trump in historic numbers, and they demand an immediate end to the political weaponization of our justice system and a swift dismissal of all of the Witch Hunts, including the Democrat-funded Carroll Hoaxes.

I was in a brick and mortar bookstore yesterday. There was a table filled with a new book by the lowlife Carroll.
Triggered me, of course.

Was looking for Unhumans by Jack Posobiec and Joshua Lisec
which I had to order online anyway. I heard Lisec refer to some leftist protesters as “mongrels” and he won me over.

This woman was on TV with Anderson Cooper, and talked about rape fantasies. Yet we’re supposed to take her seriously. Go figure.

If a woman is really traumatized about being attacked, is she really going on TV to talk of her rape fantasy?

Listen to this TOTAL IDIOT - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldP8YNAPlTw

Here at the very end she says - women think rape is sexy and tells cooper that “he is fascinating” to talk too, when he IMMEDIATELY goes to a break. Cooper better watch out. If he has $ she may come after him and say he ENTICED her on camera. As Barney Fife said “she is a NUT”.

7 or 8 stooges to 5 Trump judges in the vote for en banc

The lawfare and the Democrat judicial stooging continues.

Kaplan the judge pretty much rigged the jury instructions to get a guilty verdict. She’ll never get a dime

Wasn’t that the interview where Anderson Cooper got grossed out and cut the interview short?

Does anyone here think the USSC will decline to hear it rather than hear and overturn it?

Bingo. SCOTUS won’t take it up and the ruling will stand. That’s the easy way out for Roberts and his 4 gal pals.

I didn’t hear about the bill of attainder.
Reason enough to throw it out and disbar those who pushed for it.

The USSC grants certiorari in about 100 cases a year, and selects cases that have a significant issue of law for review.

Trump’s loss of a defamation claim in a federal district court, later confirmed by the Circuit Court of Appeals, doesn’t meet any normal requirements for review, and the acts underlying the litigation didn’t take place while he was a president or running for elective office.

You can never tell what the Supreme Court will do, but I’d be surprised if anybody except Thomas and Alito voted to accept it. Even then, it’s unclear on what grounds any appeal can be made.

Is this the case where defending against her false accusations is considered defamation?
Who came up with this Kafkaesque Catch-22 nightmare?

Let’s hope that President Trump appeals. E Jean Carroll is lying piece of trash and the NY judicial system let her lie throughout the whole dog and pony show put on for the public. Perfect example of the need for judicial overhaul.
