Republican senators aren’t happy about how President Trump treated Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), whom the president blasted last week on social media after Tillis said he wouldn’t vote for Trump’s “big, beautiful bill.”
Tillis is highly regarded among colleagues as a team player focused on getting results, and many Republicans thought he would have had the best chance of keeping the North Carolina Senate seat in GOP hands.

Tillis has a Conservative Review Liberty score of 49%.
He's been worthless for years.
All this highlights is that we have several more RINOs in the Senate to purge.
Full speed ahead with flushing Cornyn, Cassidy, Graham and hopefully Moore-Capito down the toilet in 2026.
I was looking forward to voting for his primary opponent.
Tillis is a RINO of the worst kind.
That said, I am not sure which Republican can replace him and defeat Royboy Cooper [I presume]. Lara Trump, maybe?

Tillis is the kissin’ cousin of Cornyn and a perfect example of why this country is a mess that it is.

Yeah, that's what we want in the Senate -- collegiality -- when we have a bull in the White House.

I understand the sentiment, but that’s not a good idea. The establishment would replace him with another RINO who would then have incumbency to ride into the primaries.
It’s going to suck seeing a democrat in the seat. We’ve seen this movie played out too much. Arizona and Georgia just two examples.

I like the idea of Lara Trump. NC is a red state who just hasn’t been able to come up with good candidates at the top of the ticket in recent years.
A term or two at Senator would also put her in position for a chance at POTUS.

Yeah Roy Cooper is the Golden Child in NC. Long time radio host, Phil Valentine, RIP, grew up with Cooper in Nashville, NC. Cooper has been a douche since kindergarten he said. But I’m going to do my best to keep Cooper out.
