President Donald Trump disputed his own director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, on how developed Iran’s nuclear capabilities are and said Iran was on the verge of obtaining a nuclear weapon when Israel struck in recent days.

I don't care what she said...."

And Trump is 100% correct. Iran’s nuclear inspectors at IAEA have issued a recent report stating that Iran is a few days away from nuclear weapon capability.

Findings
Iran can convert its current stock of 60 percent enriched uranium into 233 kg of WGU in three weeks at the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant (FFEP), enough for 9 nuclear weapons, taken as 25 kg of weapon-grade uranium (WGU) per weapon.
Iran could produce its first quantity of 25 kg of WGU in Fordow in as little as two to three days.
Breaking out in both Fordow and the Natanz Fuel Enrichment Plant (FEP), the two facilities together could produce enough WGU for 11 nuclear weapons in the first month, enough for 15 nuclear weapons by the end of the second month, 19 by the end of the third month, 21 by the end of the fourth month, and 22 by the end of the fifth month.
In front of the inspectors’ eyes, Iran is undertaking the near-final step of breaking out, now converting its 20 percent stock of enriched uranium into 60 percent enriched uranium at a greatly expanded rate, although this rate cannot be sustained much longer (see below).
Iran has no civilian use or justification for its production of 60 percent enriched uranium, particularly at the level of hundreds of kilograms. Its rush to make much more, quickly depleting its stock of near 20 percent enriched uranium, which has a civilian use in research reactors, raises more questions. Even if one believed the production of 60 percent is to create bargaining leverage in a nuclear negotiation, Iran has gone way beyond what would be needed. One has to conclude that Iran’s real intent is to be prepared to produce large quantities of WGU as quickly as possible, in as few centrifuges as possible.

Trump’s been in office 5-6 months? Gabbard may have been briefed using old Intel analysis. Intel where the Biden administration dictated the conclusion.

Oh brother. Iran has been on the verge of a nuke for 30 years.

I don’t trust them anymore. It’s all smoke and mirrors and propaganda.

LOL. If you don’t want to believe the international inspectors who visited and took the readings indicating the level of nuclear material I guess you can believe what you want.

What has Tulsi done since her appointment? Has she cleaned any house in her agencies? Her claim of Iran not having a nuke program made me suspicious. Paging Jeff Sessions?

CNN is intentionally driving a wedge between Tulsi Gabbard and Donald Trump, trying to make a case for Team Trump to look in disarray. More gaslighting?

That’s how common sense can see through BS.

If the oil rich Iran is truly only interested in using nuclear power, they could simply buy reactors.

No nuclear program, including deep underground sites required.

Yet those sites are there....

Iran has no civilian use or justification for its production of 60 percent enriched uranium,

It does now, thanks to Israel.

My first thought when reading her statement was that deep state “intelligence” sources were lying to her - and she believed it!

I don’t believe them either. Internationals have agendas.

Seems straight forward enough.

It is far, far better to conclude they are days away from a nuke and then destroy their sites early.

OTOH, it would be a little bit of a problem to believe they are weeks away when it is days.

People can look at the same evidence and come to different conclusions.

And then they could probably obtain one or more complete missiles from China, Russia or North Korea (which I’d trust like a used Yugo) with the pallets of American cash Obama gave them.

Considering how the Deep State/Shadow Government is around 90% Democrat among State and Intelligence we can be assured they’re feeding Sec. Gabbard as much disinformation as they think they can get away with. Because they ARE the Enemies Domestic.

Making that loony leftist Gabbard DNI was one of the most jaw-droppingly stupid picks DJT made for his cabinet.

Thanks for the campaign support, I guess, but give her the ceremonial post of Secretary of Lady Push-Ups or maybe the Ambassador of Sympathy to her BFF Bashar al-Assad or something.

I do not agree.
You are free to sympathize with the terrorists who have enslaved the Iranian people, formed an axis of evil with Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis.
Israel is defending itself & has defended itself. The aggressor has always been Iran & it’s proxies.
There is a basic flaw in the strategy of attacking and then when there is pushback pretending to be the victim.

I agree 100%. I am concerned that she believed them and gave that assessment to POTUS w/o more research but not that she was trying to mislead.

Good.

Better would have been if the number had started and ended at 0, but never too early to correct a mistake.
