Demonstrations are taking place nationwide on Saturday for what organizers are calling 'No Kings Day' with the goal of protest what protesters see as authoritarian actions by the president's administration In New York City, the NYPD estimates approximately 50,000 people took place in demonstrations across the city No arrests have been made and there have been no incidents of note related to the 'No Kings' protests, according to an NYPD spokesperson. At least one person was arrested in an unrelated, pro-Palestinian protest near 26 Federal Plaza, the NYPD said. Organizers say they have nearly 2,000 events planned across more than 1,500 cities. The protests were planned to take place the same day as a scheduled military parade in Washington, D.C. marking the Army's 250th anniversary. The parade will also coincide with President Trump's birthday on Saturday

Organizers of the 'No Kings' protests expect New York and Los Angeles, the city at the center of the national movement, to be among the most active sites, along with a main protest in Philadelphia. Events also occurred across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

The local MSM is went from claiming 1k, then 5k, then 10k in Hartford in a matter of a couple hours. The pictures I saw of it were probably, in my estimation may be 1500 to 2000.

Assuming the 50,000 figure is correct, that’s like .05% of the population of NYC. For such a supposedly well organized, and planned event against apparently such a eeeeevil king/hitler/dictator or whatever term they’re using today, that seems kind of sad. I bet more people ride the subway on the average morning commute than they got in their protest.
