Former Illinois House Speaker Michael J. Madigan, the country’s longest-serving state House leader, has been sentenced to 7.5 years in prison and a $2.5 million fine on corruption convictions.

In February, a jury found guilty Madigan of bribery conspiracy, wire fraud and other crimes.

As the former Chairman of the Illinois Democratic Party, Michael J. Madigan, slated J.B. Pritzker for Governor in 2017.

Over time, Madigan enriched himself while making Illinois costly for many state residents.

It took the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals to override him and bring Shall Issue permits to Illinois.

There’s a lot of bribery, extortion, blackmail and other corruption in Illinois, just as in other blue states. Corruption is so common in their political leaders that it is just assumed that all are “on the take” in some way or another.

The state is always on the verge of bankruptcy due to its outrageous pension plan. Taxes are high and services are low. That’s the Democrat way.

Like the former Illinois governor Rod Blagovich (sp?), Madigan probably ran afoul of the Obama clique. His prosecution dates to the Biden Administration, and he probably did not give someone his “due and proper”, so he was indicted and convicted.
