Pop star Katy Perry claimed that illegal migrants are being “hunted like criminals in their ancestral home,” implying that the land of California and Los Angeles belongs to them.
In a series of Instagram Stories on Tuesday, Perry promoted a message that said illegal migrants are the descendants of those who built California.
“Los Angeles has lived under three flags: Spain, Mexico, and the United States. That land has seen borders shift, power, change, hands, and yet the people, especially the brown and indigenous people, have always been there. Planting roots, building lives, raising families,” the message said. “And now, in 2025 the descendants of those same communities are being hunted, like criminals and their own ancestral home.”
“It’s more than infuriating, it’s a deep injustice. How can a city built on Mexican labor, Mexican history and Mexican culture turn around and criminalize the very people who shaped it?” the post added.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
We better listen to her. She’s an astronut after all.
Another stupid, cookie-cutter, moronic, leftist bimbo. Tsk, tsk.
Because they are criminals.
And being in this country illegally is the least of their offenses.
LA is a city built on Mexican culture?
Raymond Chandler might disagree.
LOL
This Katy Perry, the chick who inspired the Perry Act...?

Nuff said.
Conservatives have been characterizing the immigration flood as an “invading army” for some years now. Some other folks think this terminology is “needlessly inflammatory”.
But the current situation is truly bringing out Leftwing nutcases who think California belongs to Mexico. Apparently, we all need to go back to the border of 1830. I guess Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and California are part of Mexico.
So we have an invading army and a do-over of the Mexican-American War of 1848. This gives so much power to President Trump, it’s not funny. We win. They lose.
Simmer down there, Dooneese. No one is eagerly awaiting another celebrity opinion on...well, anything at all.
Peach
Spain?.....................
Katy should give back any property she owns her if she believes the land belongs to someone else.
She forgot to mention that the Indians were here before everyone else.
Originally there was no one here.
Mexico held California for only 27 years. During that time the missions went to hell. Law enforcement was nil. As far as the less-than 50,000 Californios in 1848 were concerned, they HATED the government in Mexico City and considered themselves Spanish. Many joined with Americans in the Bear Flag Revolt.
Single I.Q. speaks. Perry can go diddle herself and leave this up to the adults.
Walt Disney also. The Wets didn’t design Disneyland.
You can bet she won’t be sending her child to (an indiginous) public school in central LA.
If this is their ancestral home then why did they have to travel to get here? They are not from here.
Go back to kissing girls, Katy.
Her last album tanked, she got mocked for the space trip, and she is hated for using a man accused by the metoo movement as a producer. She is just trying to stay relevant...FAIL again!
Forget about the fact that she’s fallen down a horrifying rabbit hole in suggesting property is collectively held by an ethnic group, she seems ignorant of the fact that the United States never claimed California from Mexico.
In 1846, “California” was inhabited by only 8,000 Mexicans (this term excludes the far larger Native-American population, but includes any Americans who have moved to California). This includes most of the formerly Mexican part of the U.S. outside of Texas, such as Nevada, Utah and large portions of Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona (and even the two Mexican states of Baja California). The Mexican government deposed the elected governor, Juan Bautista Alvarado, and this action was met by near universal local opposition.
What opposition there was was mostly prisoners let loose on California to forage from California’s farms and rape their women. John Marsh convinced most of the non-prisoner fighters to give up the fight, and within a couple of months and almost zero bloodshed, California declared its independence.
