Only way they could send the Marines is if CA formally secedes and declares war on the US, I think. I’d say let them secede, and eastern CA where all the normal people live, secede from the state, as West Virginia did from Virginia once upon a time.

This is in Paramount City, a city of over 50.000 in the southern part of LA county—that was over 81% Hispanic as of the 2020 census.
It was too little too late. The damage was done. Ended in the most deadly, costly and economically damaging riots in modern U.S. history. The people on the roof in Korea Town? It was a nice image for everyone to admire, but Korea Town was left all but burned out in the end.
