Dmitry Novikov, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, made the comments to Russian state news outlet TASS.
"I think that Musk has a completely different game, [so] he will not need any political asylum, although if he did, Russia, of course, could provide it," Novikov said, in remarks translated from Russian.
Musk and Trump, who had been political allies over desired cuts to federal spending, have publicly clashed recently with the feud escalating on June 5 in a series of exchanges across social media and in comments to reporters.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
After reading the lede, I was expecting the Bee to be the source. After all, the Bee is America’s Newspaper of Record, whilst News-week is the journalistic equivalent of Pedo Joe.
Elon, it’s a trap! LOL, he’d be squeezed hard for info.
We don't take Newsweak seriously in America.
I was sure it was the BEE, too.
Can you say “Hostage of the Century”.
Just did.
But we aren’t laughing.
A true story——actor Stephen Seagal (born in Lansing, Michigan) lives in Russia. Became a Russian citizen in 2016.
Friends with Putin and “has referred to Vladimir Putin as both a “brother” and one of “the greatest living world leaders” and said the Ukrainians brought the war on themselves. Since obtaining Russian citizenship, he’s referred to himself as “1 million percent Russian,” and was awarded the Order of Friendship by Putin himself for a “major contribution to the development of international culture and humanitarian cooperation.” NY Post, October 31, 2024.
Selling real estate holdings lately such as the $3.6 Million house in Scottsdale, AZ with bulletproof walls and glass, and still has a $14.5 Million home in California.
Right? Some stupid Russian politician makes a smartass, inferiority complex-driven comment and the tabloid media and their Euroweenie (speaking of inferiority complexes) followers shriek “Russia is making fun of America!”
Leftists. Not the sharpest knives in the drawer. 😄
I have to laugh over that one. I don’t think Elon would move there. All his businesses are here.

I don’t think so as well... :)
However, Steve Bannon is now aggressively calling for Elon Musk to be deported from the United States... turning up the heat even further.
What a clown-show we’re in.
Who cares? Only you goofy Euros worry about that crap. Macron’s wife is a tranny who beats him up.

One place estimated him at 350 pounds.
A geopolitical heavyweight now.

At least the guy has a sense of humor.
Elon Musk did once try to buy a ABM rocket from Russia. Either the price was too high or they refused to sell. So Musk built his own rockets in SpaceX. Now the Russians couldn't pay Musk enough to get him to move to Russia and fix their space program.
Incredible video. Never saw it.
Thanks.
When Elon was just getting SpaceX started, he couldn’t afford the rockets he needed in the USA. He approached Russia, thinking he could get their ICBM rocket motors on the cheap. Fortunately for us, Russians saw him as a mark, and tried to squeeze him for as much as possible for motors that were near end of life, and he never made a deal. Had they realized where SpaceX would go, they wouldn’t have missed the opportunity, and SpaceX might have been a Russian asset.
Even today, don’t put it past Musk to take his business wherever he thinks it will make him money. He manufactures more Teslas in China than the USA. Moving SpaceX to China and/or Russia would seriously damage the US space program, while propelling China/Russia ahead of us by far. Attacking our most productive capitalists, no matter how childish they may be, is short sighted and thin skinned.
