One possibility is to shrink the Child Tax Credit and the Earned Income Credit by the amount of the national debt increase.
The SALT cap might be set to $10,000 instead of $40,000 if the previous fiscal year ended in a deficit in excess of $1.5 trillion.
The corporate tax rate might be raised 1% for every annual fiscal year deficit in excess of $1.2 trillion.
Income tax bracket inflation adjustment might not be fully done if the previous fiscal year ended in a deficit in excess of $1 trillion. If the deficit is $1.4 trillion, the adjustment would be reduced 40%.
The overtime tax exemption is unfair to 50-hour/week salaried workers and should be dropped.
The $1000 kiddie handouts should be dropped.
What we have here, is a collision of alpha males, both of a very high IQ, industrious billionaires, and who may both be subject to the personality limitations of a condition known as “Asperger’s syndrome”. This syndrome is marked by the uncommonly high IQ exhibited (well above the genius level of about 130), a pronounced obsessive-compulsive streak, and social skills that had to be trained over years, but still comes on as almost zero application in moments of high emotion. resulting in great distress for everybody else in the room at the time.
Elon Musk is not a “catfighter” as AOC would have it, but Musk’s sense of righteousness has been knocked off its equilibrium, and he may be subject to excesses of hyperbolic statements. From time to time, Donald Trump has also been subject to outbursts of highly emotionally charged statements, and the casual observer may come to believe the two alpha males have ripped an apparent kinship to shreds.
Nothing of the kind. While apparently highly unfriendly to outsiders, this is just their way of negotiating on their level.
AOC should know and I’m expecting the queen of cats, Jasmine Crockett, to meow in soon.
