The Media’s Catch-22: Exposing Joe Biden Would Have Assured Trump’s Re-election
American Thinker ^ | June 3, 2025 | Steve McCann

The legacy media finds itself in a dilemma of its own making. The depth and seriousness of Joe Biden’s mental and physical problems during his presidency are being exposed daily—ironically, much of it by the denizens of the legacy media as they feverishly attempt to absolve their culpability in keeping the American people in the dark about Biden’s unfolding mental and physical infirmities as well as what was really happening in the Oval Office. The net result of this disingenuous mea culpa will accelerate the already record downward spiral in the citizenry’s trust in the media.

During the 2020 campaign, it became increasingly obvious to anyone without an anti-Trump agenda that Biden was not mentally or physically capable of being President. But the legacy media, wallowing in its Trump Derangement Syndrome, made a fatal decision in choosing to obfuscate not only his mental and physical incapacities but his fifty-year history of corruption and mendacity.

Thereafter, the legacy media found itself in a quandary during Biden’s presidency. How were they to avoid looking like partisan prostitutes if they started asking the obvious questions about Biden’s cognitive ability to be president while continuing to downplay Joe Biden’s corruption and failures?

They effectively decided to double down on their obfuscation strategy as they knew that by exposing Biden’s myriad health and ethical issues, they would trigger the public’s inevitable comparison between Trump and Biden, as well as between the presidents’ families, their mental acuity, their physical fitness, and their accomplishments. This was a comparison that would result in the effective exoneration and rehabilitation of Donald Trump.

Since Trump’s entrance into the political arena, the legacy media have relentlessly accused him of being unscrupulous and vile, an existential threat to the nation, and someone who deserves to be imprisoned. These so-called journalists knew that if they...

Expose Joe Biden. Replace him with Gavin Newsom. Then beat Donald Trump in the general election.

The only problem is that Newsom would have to run against Harris in the primaries.

The media’s model of trying to control the U.S. by omitting information only works when they have a total monopoly as they did from the 1920s until the 1990s or when the threat to their monopoly is tiny, such as the 1990s to 2010s.

Now opposition media is much more capable of getting info out, the media can’t control elections for Democrats anymore.

The so-called “news” media hates America.

It all changed greatly once the media became feminized and women took over the majority of the positions. Just like in education.

The Media’s Catch-22: Exposing Joe Biden Reporting the Truth Would Have Assured Trump’s Re-election

And not just the truth about Biden's health. The truth about the lawfare used against Trump and anyone who served or supported him. The truth about corruption throughout the Biden administration. The truth about J6 and the J6 kangaroo court persecutions, the failed withdrawal from Afghanistan, the fake impeachments, Russiagate, etc, etc, etc.

They hid FDR's wheelchair and JFK's infidelity long before this took place.

Former Wall Street analyst Ed Dowd has made the claim that our news organizations are run by our intelligence agencies, and I can't say he's wrong.

That was due to wwii and not wanting to show a weak wartime leader. Nothing to do with “making a difference” and feminism and taking the patriarchy down.

OK, I want to drill down to the question which underlies all of these stories:

Does the state, the police, the media, the influencers, the schools, the intelligence agencies - do they all have a reciprocal, interacting obligation to prevent the election of “Hitler”?

Yes or No? Ja oder Nein?

Never mind whether Trump is “Hitler” or not. Even never mind if Hitler is “Hitler” or not.

The point is, the model (”democracy”) does not work if extralegal means are constantly used by those who know better than the people themselves know what is in their interest.

Push Forrestal out the window. Blow off JFK’s head. Run a psyop on Nixon and then let the FBI Deputy Director dictate text to a couple of nobody reporters for twenty months. Send Donna Rice after Gary Hart. Mess with Ross Perot’s daughter. Find the next Oswald and then make sure if he misses his shot he’s dead in thirty seconds.

It’s all justified using the “Hitler” excuse, since “Hitler” (as opposed to the long-dead guy from Braunau am Inn) is basically an imaginary creature who can be summoned at the discretion of the people with the actual power to justify subversion of a process that gives ordinary people a voice in the big questions of war, peace, nationality, race, norms, and what are the outer bounds of a people.

You know, the big questions that turned the German election of 1933.

When the US dictated the Grundgesetz that created the West German state, the CIA guys who wrote it made damned sure that the emergent American colony had a mechanism (a special court) to be able to fortify elections to make sure of the outcome. The East German state had the Stasi and didn’t have to bother with fake courts.

And, by “make sure of the outcome”, don’t imagine that the CIA (or whatever the name of the organization that wields real power is) cares about Christian Democrats or Social Democrats. Don’t imagine they care Republicans or Democrats.

Ford or Carter. Bush or Clinton. Bush or Gore. McCain or Obama. No matter, as long as nothing changes.

Organize the new Defense Department to prevent perpetual war? It’s a long way down from the 16th floor. Give a speech at American University about a framework for disarmament and peace? Just get in that open car. And so on.

The moment is at hand. Cross the Rubicon? Pick up the crown out of the gutter? Has any 78 year old man ever done anything like that?

“That was due to wwii and not wanting to show a weak wartime leader.”

No. They started it in 1932 and continued all thru the ‘30s. It was blatant bias for Roosevelt.

Wheelchair President Roosevelt was well into his third term before he became a wartime leader.
