Oregon is once again at the center of a national debate over transgender athletes being allowed to compete in women's sports.
A video from the high school girls' track and field state championships went viral over the weekend. The video shows two athletes refusing to step on the podium with another athlete, whom they say is transgender.
The Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) policy allows transgender students to "access athletics and activities" consistent with the student's gender identity.
Alexa Anderson from Tigard High School was one of the athletes who stepped off the podium in protest. She spoke with KATU on Monday.
Anderson said her actions were not inspired by hate, but about fairness in girls’ sports

ALL of them should walk off on protest. But sadly it could mess with standing numbers and scholarship opportunities.
I’d bet that most of these ‘trans’ athletes will suddenly switch back once they graduate from college with all the free scholarships they stole...................
“Oregon is once again”... FUBAR
It doesn’t ignite anything. Fools and perverts like the status quo. The rest of normal humanity is SICK TO DEATH of fools and perverts controlling what society is supposed to think and do.
No one has more hate for women than the #$@&$ trannies. Ridiculously laughable facsimiles of one of God’s most lovely creations.
Just wow.
I find transveties horrible parody of what they believe a woman to looks like, worse than black face.
I just don’t care anymore. For me the debate has run it’s course. If women don’t stand up for themselves then there is NOTHING I can do to help. Give me something to vote on and I’ll vote to ban trannies from all women’s/girls sports, bathrooms...everything, until then it just wasted breath.
