Silence is Dangerous- Putin and Trump Quiet as Zelenskyy Brags and Russia-Ukraine Peace Talks in Turkey End After Less than One Hour

President Trump has not made any statement after Ukraine launched an attack yesterday deep into Russia targeting long-range nuclear capable bombers. Russian President Vladimir Putin has also remained quiet throughout the day today. However, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy speaking from Vilnius, Lithuania, publicly bragged about the operation today.

According to Turkish officials (note silence from Russia & Ukraine), the previously scheduled meeting between Russian and Ukranian negotiators ended today after less than an hour. There are no details about what took place inside the Ciragan Palace in Istanbul, just that once the meeting attendees were seated and gave initial remarks, the event dissolved. Both the Russian and Ukrainian teams left the building.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt appeared full of nervous energy as she spoke to journalists outside the White House, noting that President Trump was in meetings and discussions all day while taking phone calls.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov have also remained silent.

Trump better be on the phone trying to fix this catastrophe before it’s too late. Trump can’t bluff or BS his way out of this one. I’m sure we’ve been told to walk away from whatever is about to happen.

Umerov and Medinsky met privately one on one for 2.5 hours prior to the full meeting.

If we are in on it we better admit it. Not a good idea to bomb their country.

What matters is that Zelensky is able to brag for part of a day.

Not sure how this is Trump’s problem.

He didn’t start the war.

He never sanctioned the war.

He’s been calling for peace since before he was elected.

He’s made multiple overtures to get a peace deal on the table, with the EU and Deep State working against him. Can’t wait for some lowly district court judge to rule against any Russian sanctions.

He should tell both sides to pound sand, stop the money flow, and let Europe fight it out. If Russia really wanted to unleash, this would have been over years ago.

Zelensky’s move right before scheduled talks meant he was never serious about peace. Trump can’t reason with crazy people and should stop trying.

Zelensky bragging is doing this:

You don’t tug on Superman’s cape, you don’t spit into the wind, you don’t pull the mask off that old Lone Ranger and you don’t mess around with ..... Vlad.

You said: Trump better be on the phone trying to fix this catastrophe before it’s too late. Trump can’t bluff or BS his way out of this one. I’m sure we’ve been told to walk away from whatever is about to happen.

Trumps most recent posts regarding Putin:

Trump ... in a social media post late Sunday, saying Putin "has gone absolutely CRAZY!" and was needlessly killing a lot of people.

Media reported before the weekend:

...Russian attack was the largest aerial assault of the war, with Russia unleashing 355 drones and nine cruise missiles on dozens of Ukrainian cities, including the capital

I dont know what you think Trump needs to fix. He's been trying in vain for months to get Putin to cease fire. Putin should know the cost of his 'adventure'. Seems like russia doesnt have as good a card hand as it thinks. Whatever Trump thinks or does wrt Ukraine, it wont be because he owes Putin anything.

Putin may be a monster but Zelensky isn’t the brightest bulb—this isn’t David vs Goliath. Many more innocent Ukrainians, such as children, are going to pay (die) for Z not keeping his mouth shut over this. If Z really cared, he would not be bragging but preparing and protecting his people for what is coming next.

The bombers were a legit target for the Ukes. I commend their CIA/MI6 handlers for their innovative plan. Crying about terrorism is silly. The passenger train is a different matter.

My problem is the fact that our proxy implemented our plan that in the process destroyed any confidence the remaining nuclear arms deals or understandings had left. The only difference between Trump and Biden is Trump will talk to Putin but only spews disinfo, bravado and BS.

Trump said he was going to end the war. He never started out calling for a ceasefire. A ceasefire is not an end to a war and you know it and he knows it.

The UK helped Zelensky. Now Zelensky is bragging.
Starmer is an Obama idiot.
This will turn out to be the leftist circus that results in the loss of Ukraine.
Trump wants nothing to do with it and neither do US taxpayers.

I am totally against Russia invading Ukraine but the fact is that they did and unless we are willing to put our own troops in and force them out they will not leave. I believe that now is the time for Zelensky to cut his losses and give up but he has gotten this far doing whatever it is that he has been doing so don’t expect him to stop. I think he wants to prolong the conflict to protect his power. I don’t think he has any power any other way. So he should be eliminated and I would not be surprised if it was the US that did it. I think Russia has let him alone because he is like a gnat to them and they don’t want to stop anyway.

Trump is taking ownership of this war, instead of getting us OUT of the quagmire. We voted for him to get us out. And Allowing that homosexual Graham to talk tough is is really bad look…

Trump is the Commander in Chief of the US military who all currents reports indicate is continuing to provide the Ukrainians with intelligence to target and kill Russians. Now regardless of one’s perspective on whether this is or is not a good idea, this makes it America’s war even now with Sleep Joe gone. President Trump has the option of stopping the US role in this but so far has not chosen to do that.
