President Donald Trump has threatened to take away $3 billion in federal grants from Harvard University and redirect the money to trade schools, escalating a months-long battle with the Ivy League institution.
"I am considering taking Three Billion Dollars of Grant Money away from a very antisemitic Harvard, and giving it to TRADE SCHOOLS all across our land," Trump posted Monday on his social media platform, Truth Social. "What a great investment that would be for the USA, and so badly needed!!!"

Sounds like a good idea to me.
Excellent work around Mr. President. The omnibus spending budgets no longer define specifific authorized spending by congress. It just hands out huge chunks of cash to be spent with inside the agency goals. This is where the federal courts are having limited success in stopping the administration, because it was authorized funds. So..... if it's still spent from inside the agency for say, "Industrial Trades Skills and Training", the argument that congress appropriated that money won't fly.
Another few years and Harvard will be enrolling five thousand students in its newly formed trade schools in order to feed from the public teat.

Government money ruins everything. Look at Hillsdale. No government money makes it arguably the best university in the United States.
(Yes, I realize this is good retail politics in order to rub Harvard.)
They have a multi-billion dollar endowment. No more welfare for the rich.
And that's not even taking into account that Harvard has evolved into a terrorist madrassa.

“Trade schools” can take care of themselves! Apprenticeships are better anyway. The PhD degree is a kind of apprenticeship, too!
We need all those NSF and NIH grants—for cancer, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, ALS, etc. Harvard research is among the best in the world.
Besides that, Harvard is only first on Trump’s destruct list. Next are MIT, Yale, Stanford, Tufts, and your State university!
I voted for Trump for President 3 times. He has gone senile, and I can no longer support him. I can’t support any Democrat either. Phooey!

While trade schools are a better idea for a large chunk of the populace, I still fail to see where FedGov has the power to give them $$$?
