Speaker Johnson: There Are ‘More Than 1.4 Million Illegal Aliens on Medicaid’
Breitbart ^ | 05/24/2025 | Pam Key

Posted on 05/25/2025 9:49:16 AM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that there were “more than 1.4 million illegal aliens on Medicaid.”

Johnson said, “We are not cutting Medicaid in this package. There‘s a lot of misinformation out there about this.”

He continued, “The numbers of Americans who are affected are those that are entwined in our work to eliminate fraud, waste and abuse. And what do I mean by that? You got more than 1.4 million illegal aliens on Medicaid. Medicaid is not intended for non-U.S. citizens. It‘s intended for the most vulnerable populations of Americans, which is pregnant women and young single mothers, the disabled, the elderly. They are protected in what we‘re doing because we‘re preserving the resources for those who need it most.”

CUT THEM OFF.

Another alternative, give them a choice, prison and make restitution for the benefits they stole, after which we ship them back to their homeland, or they can immediately return to their homeland and avoid those consequences.

Rephrasing:

The Senate numbers are NOT because of illegals on Medicaid, of which there are probably very very few.

The numbers are BECAUSE THE HOUSE BILL RAISES THE DEFICIT FROM 1.8T to 2.2T. No, that’s not a good start. It’s not anything but wrong and should be voted down.

The details do not matter. Only the numbers matter.

Well, SOMEONE is telling a whale of a lie, that’s fo sho.

Personally I believe it’s the liars who are saying there are 0 illegals on Medicaid, which seems rather absolutist.

But hey... maybe you got a point... let’s throw something up against the wall and see if it sticks...

AMEN. Enough. I’ve been a (mostly) law-abiding, tax-paying, productive member of this society all of my life. I’ve never once asked for any kind of help, but would very much like it to be there should I ever need it. That’s the social contract, when it comes to taxes. That contract was shredded, and a new one benefiting non-citizens who’ve not paid, and are not paying, a penny into the system has replaced it. And we’ve allowed it.

Some Republicans in the Senate want to keep it that way.

Anchor Baby births are a main driver of Medicaid costs for Illegals. Show up to the ER in active labor and you have to be taken care of— No insurance? No problem. Get you signed up for Medicaid and let someone else sort it out if you’re here illegally. Been going on for a long time. FJB’s Open Borders just made it worse. RINOs whenever they’re in charge never do much about it but bloviate.

“more than 1.4 million illegal aliens on Medicaid.”

The number should be zero.

If I understand correctly, one of the steps for legal immigration is showing that you have the means to provide for yourself and your family. If you are not able, then you are not allowed to come in and mooch off of the American people.

By letting these people remain in the US rather than remaining in Mexico for the average of 7 years that they wait for their asylum hearing, the Biden regime not only allowed them to cut in line but also allowed them to bypass that requirement and mooch off of the American people. Most of those who come here illegally do so for economic reasons, not because of a need for asylum. Specifically, the benefits they would receive here far outweigh what they could earn in their own country. The system - including NGO’s - has encouraged this all along, at the expense of US citizens.

understood and agreed

the only comment i would add is that an asylum request should not take anything near 7 years to review

Free meds at Taxpayers expense, that’s why the illegals are here. They have no physical or mental training of anykind as they are just parasites on the American system.

And being on medicaid typically means being on many more aid programs. SNAP, TANF, WIC, SSI, EITC, etc. And I’ll bet it’s more than 1.4 million. The cost of illegals is massive.

That’s not Medicaid. That is EMLATA. It requires hospitals to stabilize emergency cases.

The vast vast majority of Medicaid is single white mothers and children, mostly in Appalachia.

Re: Speaker Johnson: "1.4 Million Illegal Aliens On Medicaid."

About time, Speaker Johnson!

The Political Left and MSM have been carpet bombing the USA for the last week with claims of HUGE Trump Budget cuts to Medicare and Medicaid.

Those budget cut claims - of course - refer only to millions of illegal aliens plus millions of able bodied USA citizens who are violating the work requirements for health care assistance.

Why are Republicans ALWAYS one week behind the Democratic Party PR tidal wave?

There are nowhere near that number of illegals on Medicaid.

Well, since there are likely between 40 and 60 million wetbacks, he's probably "lowballing" it.

How can going from 1.8T to 2.2T be a good start?

Because Congress can still introduce a thousand bills, each killing a different program, agency or department. Half of this budget bill is dedicated to rebuilding the military and national security.

There is misinformation because you jerks have no idea how to inform your peers, much less the uninformed in this country.

Here’s a clue:

Run the Congress like a business marketing department. Get rid of the children’s flip charts, buy a computer and PowerPoint software, find someone who has a clear understanding of what you are trying to communicate and develop a PowerPoint presentation. Project your presentation onto 30:foot screen behind the dais. Thousands of us do this every day all over the country.

Razzle dazzle, not yak… yak… yak…

The Stupid Party should get their collective heads out of their asses. Grow up.
