Give The Atlantic high marks for chutzpah, along with several thousand demerits for integrity. At a time when the rest of the Protection Racket Media struggles to explain their propagandizing for the Bidens over the last several years, only The Atlantic has the courage to say, You saps got what you deserved if you couldn't figure it out yourselves.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
You saps got what you deserved if you couldn’t figure it out yourselves.

Oh, but we did!
And we were called conspiracy theories and wackos.
You see, the media runs interference by (passively) NOT covering Biden’s deficits, but they also run interference by (actively) attacking those (often blamed as radical “new” media) who try to point what what’s really going on.
Exactly my reaction, spot on.
However much you hate the fake media, you don’t hate them enough, and this right here is a great example why.
This is an interesting argument. So if someone lies to you but the lie is clearly a lie, you should not blame the liar. Does that mean I have to believe the liar the next time he says something?
Yeah, this is an argument often heard used by sociopaths after they have been caught and can no longer deny it, which is rare because sociopaths often deny deny deny in the face of blatant evidence. They will say, it’s your fault (because nothing is EVER their fault) for falling for it.
The people who are most evil at heart ALWAYS self justify. They feel no guilt or remorse. They have no conscience or empathy.
People are making an issue over this. but the issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution That’s a direct quote from Saul Alinsky. And it is how the leftists live and breathe.
scum
No surprise.
The Media has always been contemptuous of the American public.
A new low, even for them.
Ah, we did figure it out, but lawfare was used to prevent us from proving it.
But thanks for proving that what we have been saying for the last 4 years, has been in fact the truth.
Logically, this argument means that the bigger the lie, the less moral culpability.
BTTT
Perfect description of the situation, z3n.

They will sink into obscurity with the rest of the old media.
Exactly—if the Atlantic and other lefty media outlets felt actual guilt and/or remorse they would do the correct thing.
Cease operations.
Here is an old Atlantic piece—worth some quotes:
“To raise doubts about the Democratic nominee, right-wing-media smears don’t even need to make sense.”
“Trump hopes to undermine Joe Biden’s most important electoral asset: the impression, shared by even those who don’t like the former vice president, that he is a fundamentally decent person.”
“By bringing up Hunter’s name over and over again, the Trump campaign may hope to make Biden emotional, or make him stumble, just as it hopes to provoke his stutter, or at least a gaffe.”
Note that as early as 2020 Atlantic was using the “stutter” and “gaffe” cover story.
Seems similar to the rules governing advertising/blandishments. The word “puffery” is used by courts of law to excuse false positive statements (claims) about products/services for sale, or about organizations/companies, such as restaurants, as “over the top” statements that all consumers, regardless of their individual naivetĂ© or lack of intelligence (slow on the uptake), are presumed to recognize as exaggerations lodged for purposes of gaining economic profit.
Just another “legal fiction” that causes a litigant to find themselves out in the cold if they didn’t know about in advance.
