Democratic presidential aspirants should not feel obligated to self-flagellate to win back the public trust.
The what-did-they-know-and-when-did-they-know-it media frenzy was just getting started, with Democratic officeholders being pressed by last week’s Sunday morning talk show hosts whether they “got it wrong” on Joe Biden’s fitness, did they “see much” infirmity, and do they “bear some responsibility” for his initial decision to run for re-election.
Then we learned later on Sunday that Biden has an aggressive form of prostate cancer, and a fresh wave of conspiracy theorizing has begun. After Biden’s office issued a statement, Donald Trump Jr. baselessly suggested the Biden administration covered up his cancer ailment. And on Monday, Ezekiel Emanuel—a physician and longtime Democratic health policy adviser—strangely fed the fever swamps by asserting “he’s had this for many years, maybe even a decade,” though noting doctors don’t always recommend people over 70 take the “prostate specific antigen” test.
But maybe, just maybe, Biden’s latest diagnosis could prompt a bit of grace and perspective.
Presidential medical history is important, and it is important to get it right. Last July, after Biden’s disastrous debate performance, which certainly raised questions about his age but did not prove dementia, I turned to Woodrow Wilson’s checkered medical history to argue the 28th president should have resigned and that the 46th shouldn’t repeat the mistake.
Wilson’s intensifying rigidity and decreasing political sophistication contributed to the Senate’s rejection of the Treaty of Versailles and America’s participation in the League of Nations. I wrote:
[Leader of the Senate Republicans, Henry Cabot Lodge] had proposed incorporating ‘reservations’ that would limit America’s commitments. He was not...

We don't need no stinking public trust.
Flagellate!
Flagellate!
Dance to the music!.................
I think I'd prefer to know who the heck was in charge over the past 4 years.
And there you have it. I just commented about the public having the attention span of a gnat. Now, the media will begin the spin so that the public will follow along.
Would in their right mind thinks the Democrats are going to actually allow a free and open primary choice for their Presidential candidate in 2028, any more than they did in 2024, 2020, 2016, or 2008?
It wouldn’t matter in any case, it isn’t as if any one Dem candidate might actually do things differently than any other Dem candidate.
ACK! Do that sh*t in private. Bunch of sickos.
“Would”=Who
I'd prefer to not focus on either Biden's cancer or his age, and focus on the bribery and treason we should be investigating. Or we risk it being done again.
Amen, bruh. Or, sis. Or whatever slangy urban pronoun you identify as. I’m waiting for the who-was-running-the-damn-country? frenzy to kick in.
Donald Trump won’t be running either.
But if he’s able to fix the mess Biden made or if we still have to live with it is going to affect the election.
Five years of nobody asking questions about Biden’s lies and this guy tells people to go on keeping quiet about them.
Joe does not have enough time left for a bribery or a treason trial. But Dr Jill does.
Steven Ricchetti and 4 of his family members were in charge.
So does Hunter, and other people in the Biden Crime Family, and other people in the Biden admin getting grift money. If the investigation doesn't focus on who hid is age and instead focuses on how many people participated in the 10% for the Big Guy, we might prevent some corruption in future presidents.
Wilson got elected promising NOT to get us involved in WW1, then promptly did so. Not only that, he tried to involve us in being the world policeman in almost every area of the world.
The American people did not want that and that is why we stayed out of the League of Nations. Unfortunately, the warpigs got their way after WW2 and we have been living the “dream” of the neocons ever since...
BiXiden could easily be DOA in Nov. ‘28.
Also, these are not the droids you are looking for.
Yes.
Bill Scher, Gaslight Media stooge for the Democrats.
Is his Lieberry going to be built in Biden Falls, Del.?
Nobody will remember Biden’s prostate cancer in 4 years. Biden is likely to be deceased by then, since his current life expectancy is about 6.5 years without any serious diseases.
Even Trump’s life expectancy is only slightly more than 7 years at this moment.
2028 is an eon away in politics. People haven’t even begun to focus on 2026, which will be far more consequential for us.
