Biden's woes converge: Last-minute pardons under fire, calls for prosecution mount following Hur tape release

The release of audio recordings of former President Joe Biden's interview with special counsel Robert Hur have intensified criticism of the administration's use of an autopen on official presidential orders and pardons.

The damning tapes, which bring Biden's alarming mental decline into sharp relief, were kept under wraps by Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland. Now that Biden's cognitive problems have been bared, some are calling for Garland to face prosecution for rejecting Congressional demands to release the tapes when he ran the Department of Justice (DOJ).

"Key decisions made in the final days of the Biden presidency, including using autopens to issue blanket pardons for the Biden Crime Family, must be fully examined. There are serious concerns that President Biden lacked the mental capacity to authorize those actions," House Oversight Committee Chair Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., posted to X on Saturday.

Axios released hours of Biden's interview with the special counsel's office on Saturday – a year and a half after the interviews were held across a two-day period in the fall of 2023. The recordings showed the former president tripping over his words, slurring sentences, taking long pauses between answers and struggling to remember key moments in his life, including the year his son Beau Biden died of cancer.

The recordings have further bolstered conservative outrage stretching back years that Biden's mental acuity had cratered and that the Delaware Democrat who had served in the Senate for decades had become a "shadow" of himself and was unfit to lead the country as president.

The flurry of pardons Biden allegedly signed by autopen in the waning days of his administration included ones for his son Hunter Biden, his siblings and their spouses, retired Gen. Mark Milley, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and members and staff of the House committee

The closest thing we have today resembling justice is the “call for prosecution”.

Doubt we will get much more than a “call”.

The GOPe is really good at doing only one thing, NOTHING. On second thought they might write a letter to the DOJ or something.

When I die, I want GOP pallbearers so they can let me down one more time.

You can criticize the people that covered up his cancer. It’s not likely that his initial presentation was metastatic prostate CA. It’s more likely that he had a local prostate CA diagnosis that progressed to bone metastasis over 5 or 6 years. IOW, his diagnosis was likely withheld from the public for years.
This is apparently what his handlers did with his cognitive impairment.
Biden needs to fully disclose his medical records. This appears to be more evidence of a coverup.

Like all criminals Biden knew what he was doing. He was always selfish and totally unethical.

I want him to suffer with the legal woes before he dies.

My rebuttal——I want him to suffer from legal problems before he dies.

They’ll have Biden record a video saying he authorized all those pardons, and keep it on file for when he kicks the bucket they can say “See, he says he did it”. And that’ll be that.

“Garland to face prosecution”

Sounds like fun.

It’s treason or something like it. Unauthorized person or persons giving pardons undeserved. That is beyond evil, especially the hardened criminals who were pardoned. Someone did that to spite the people of this nation who voted for Trump. If they do not find these people, prosecute them and put them in prison, they WILL start a civil war. Bookmark this.

Prosecute him, give him an appropriate long sentence and defer the sentence because he’s a doddering old dementia patient with cancer.

Let that be the Biden legacy.

Of course it was covered up. Just like the media covered it up. Kareem abdul Pierre was covering it up every press briefing. The crime of covering it up has to be prosecuted. Treason seems fitting

“A call,” stops just short of the ultimate punishment, a “strongly worded letter.”

For the J6 committee all they need to do to prosecute them is force them to testify under oath. Have them admit what they did...they won’t. They will lie and then prosecute them for lying. It least it’s something.

Every single assassination attempt agains President Trump has had the left mourning it wasn’t successful - they openly admitted wanting him dead.

No one was ever called out about that behavior but you can bet if ANYTHING is said against Bidet and his crimes and the medical coverups, we will be called the worst names in history.

I doubt Biden knows anything about any of it. I suspect his days are days of soft music, orange juice, and pajamas.
