IDF will be distributing aid to Gazans, US will provide it. The lot of them will be transferred temporarily out of harm's way to Libya. Libya will get back frozen assets in exchange for playing nice to the Palis. Hamas is done. Senior leaders on the run, can leave, surrender or die. This is the end game. It could have been done a year or more ago. But noooooooo!

Occupation.
BULLpuckey!
Better said - Liberation
In Israel proper, Jews, Gentiles, Christians, Muslims, all can live, work, worship, and thrive.
Imagine the Gaza Strip where Jews, Gentiles, Christians, Muslims, all can live, work, worship, and thrive.
Just like democRATS, Islamofascistnazis abhor freedom.
PS - Whatever they do, keep the UN as far away as possible.
I’ve never understood why it is the Israel’s burden to feed those who would butcher them.
“I’ve never understood why it is the Israel’s burden to feed those who would butcher them.”
It’s not.

Harry Truman did the Berlin airlift because the Soviets wanted to starve the Germans for all that they did to them. Same here, I guess.
I’d have to imagine it, because it’s unlikely to ever happen.
I was discussing the situation with a college student and she, politely asked me about hostages taken by Israel. I said that I have never heard if any, leave alone children.
Later I checked this and found that Israel has 10k detainees/prisoners. Most are due to political or criminal activity.
There are 400 under 18 year olds. Again most are due to violent acts against Israelis, but some situations are iffy.
What is the best answer to give her for these cases?
That’s not far enough. Send them all to Spain.
No. Spain has enough problems.
Why has it taken Israel so long to occupy the Gaza Strip, which is smaller than Bakersfield, Calif.?
One challenge is that, most likely, she doesn't know what she's talking about. "Hostages" are individuals--usually non-combatants--kidnapped and held under threat of execution in order to pressure a third party (usually an entity with lots of money) to donate money, weapons, or other assets to the hostage-taking persons.
Israel doesn't do this. Moslem countries and gangs usually do, since they are terrible at more complex feats of aggression--such as fighting.
Terrorists being held in prison are not "hostages." They are convicted criminals serving time--or in some cases waiting there to be traded for innocent Israeli or Jewish hostages being held somewhere in Moslemia.
The distinction between "criminals" and "citizens" can be a difficult one to grasp for officials or citizens in the Moslem world.
Joe Biden kept imposing conditions on the military aid, and Hamas was so tangled up with civilians and tunnels, that what could have been done in less than a week has taken about 18 months, and over 900 kia.
There is some interesting reading (to me anyway) about the payback to germans who were moved into Poland ,Czechoslovakia, etc. as part of hitlers
living space program.
Best as I can figure - there were maybe millions of Germans killed after the war.
That’s the easy argument that I used. The difficulty I’m having is about the 400 under 18 year olds.
Many of those kids are in for violence, but not all.
That’s where I am having difficulty with a case to convince her,
Let me know when the Israelis show up with tank mounted flamethrowers going street by street block by block and setting up guillotines to give any military aged male a free hair cut . You know just a little off the top so too speak.
“Why has it taken Israel so long to occupy the Gaza Strip”
That is the nature of urban warfare - block by block, building by building. Gaza is heavily urbanized.
Another characteristic of Urban warfare, is the need to extensively demolish the existing buildings, to preserve the lives of your own soldiers - block by block, building by building.
gaza is there’s to begin with! so how are they “occupying” it?
Looks like it is the US feeding them and there is no reason US citizens should have to shoulder the cost.
