PALM SPRINGS — Palm Springs was left reeling from a bomb explosion Saturday outside a fertility clinic that caused damage for blocks and has been classified as an intentional act of terrorism.
One person was killed in the blast. Officials would not confirm he was the bomber but said there is no longer a threat to the Palm Springs area.
The bombing shattered the Saturday morning quiet, with many residents thinking they felt an earthquake.
“I’m really saddened by today’s attack on our city,” Palm Springs Police Chief Andrew Mills said. “But I am also hopeful because our city will rise.”
There was extensive damage to American Reproductive Centers, a fertility clinic and in vitro fertilization lab across the street from Desert Regional Medical Center. An office building two blocks from the blast had its windows blown out, as did a Denny’s five blocks away.
The site says that the clinic has helped more than 2,000 families become parents and highlights its work with LGBTQ+ families.
“This was a place of hope. This is a building people go to to start and expand families,” Palm Springs mayor pro tem Naomi Soto said. “This is a building where hope lives.”
Former patients expressed horror at what happened.
“All he’s doing is giving women hope to have babies,” former patient Staci Franklin said of Abdallah, whose clinic helped her get pregnant with her daughter, now 16.
Franklin said she and her husband spent the hours after the explosion debating possible motives, speculating about a disgruntled patient or an extremist from the far fringe of the antiabortion movement, who might have sought to destroy embryos to “make a statement.”
“If that was their motivation, I’m glad they failed,” she said.
Former American Reproductive Centers patient Jaclyn Ferber Calonne was at a baby shower when she started receiving text messages about...

That’s a lot of explosives. No accident. Hope they find the perp.
They found pieces of him right away.
Leftist gobbledygook. It wasn't an attack on their city. It was a directed bombing by a leftist nutball who tried to take his misery out on other people.
Yup. Couldn’t miss him.
He was all over the place.
It’s gone downhill since Sonny Bono.
What an enigma! Fertility is against abortion. But fertility is working on ways of helping people reproduce who really can’t when working with reality. Was this perp from the right or the left? My guess is the left because they are willing to use violence to achieve their goals and they don’t care about collateral damage. The only thing I can’t fathom is the motivation.
Reports are that he was from Twentynine Palms.
You know whats at Twentynine Palms?
Or he’s just insane. Occam’s razor.
Extremist Leftist anti-natalist, the folks over on X already figured this one out. Of course the fake media is clueless, lying, or both.
One theory floating around the interwebs is that the guy's girlfriend had committed suicide after some bad experience at that facility.
Marine training base.
“It’s gone downhill since Sonny Bono.”
Most politicians cannot see the forest through the trees, Bono was just the opposite.

You do know you’re going to Hell for that one.
If any of you are on Twitter aka X, look up Andy Ngo, he’s done some great research into the background of this person.
One telling statement from the manifesto this guy published before the bombing, he stated that he would support Satan over God if he believed in religion at all.
“...an extremist from the far fringe of the antiabortion movement, who might have sought to destroy embryos to “make a statement.”
Reminds me of Timothy McVeigh, who they described as a “Christian”, but was quoted as saying “Science is my God”.
It was probably some nutbag who had a beef with the clinic itself..something went wrong so they lashed out at the clinic, botched IVF treatment, etc..the clinic opened in 2006 so its not like someone drove by and said “Oh wow a IVF clinic I should blow it up” its been there for almost 20 yrs..so yeah its a personal beef
